Almost three years of podcasting… and what a journey it has been.

Our very first episode dropped on the 5th of August 2023, featuring political analyst Babasola Kuti — and since then, it’s been a journey of growth, learning, and honestly… a lot of trial and error.

From struggling with audio (not being able to properly monitor sound while recording 😩), to unknowingly drifting away from the mic mid-conversation, to even having to re-record an entire episode three times because we couldn’t review footage properly at the time…

Behind the scenes hasn’t always been smooth.
On top of that, we’ve been building this while raising toddlers — often recording while my husband holds things down in the background so we can keep everything running. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it.

One big lesson we’ve learned?
Consistency in your setup is everything.

We started off using different camera brands and mixed audio equipment, but over time we realised that sticking to one camera system and one audio ecosystem makes a huge difference — not just in quality, but in editing too (especially when you’re doing everything yourself!).

That’s why we’re incredibly grateful to RØDE ‪@rodemic‬ Microphones for supporting our journey and sending us equipment for the podcast. We’re honestly overwhelmed by the love and support.

And now… we’re about to begin Season 5 🎙️
