Thanks for all the nice words about my latest long format video on the history of the Anhalter Bahnhof with Ilja Nieuwland. Social media's a funny thing. Hello YouTube! I have decided to cut down to posting one video every two weeks - the next video will land on July 8. Here's why:

Here's me right now, having edited only 7 minutes of my next video, which will probably come in at around 30 minutes long.

I wanted to start YouTube so that I could show you all sorts of stories I never get to talk about on my tours, and in much more depth. Since the end of February I've posted a video every week. I love making them, and I've had such a wonderful response from all of you, but I've fallen behind on emails, admin, short videos, social life, and more.

Something's got to give. A little bit of cash comes in from YouTube, but not enough to justify the amount of time that goes into it, so I'm going to hang back and put them out more slowly for a while. Part of the "problem" is that I do everything myself - research, writing, editing, posting, managing the comments, then doing tours, podcasts, Instagram, TikTok... This is all my own choice, and I'm not complaining at all - I love what I do - but I need to manage myself a bit better, and step one is stepping back and assessing what's going on.

I'm sorry I won't get this video to you this week, but you'll like it when it lands on Tuesday, July 8, I promise.

Massive! I was invited by ‪@HistoryHit‬ to take presenter Luke Tomes all over to Berlin to explore key Third Reich locations that are still standing, and tell the story of Berlin during Hitler's reign from 1933-1945.

We visited the Brandenburg Gate, the Olympic Stadium, the Schwerbelastungskörper, Bebelplatz, the Reichstag, the 'Welthauptstadt Germania' model, and loads more.
