Hey guys, (early) happy 2026! Just wanted to give a bit of an update and say thanks.

This year was pretty light on videos compared to my previous output. This is partly due to a lack of Splat news, but also the nature of videos I decided to make and the level of quality I try to uphold (3 hour ranking video cough cough).

That said, I would really like to be more productive and get more stuff out for you guys in 2026. That should be easy to accomplish with Raiders news (and hopefully a release), but I want to hold myself to be more consistent and productive regardless. I have a video currently in the works that I’m hoping to get out in January, and one more sometime after that, but once Raiders hits, the plan is to lock in and cover just about every aspect of the game. So, look forward to that!

I experimented a lot more with streams this year! I really like the idea of doing variety streams while keeping the videos mostly about Splatoon. However, asking an audience of Nintendo fans to watch me play relatively obscure indie games doesn’t always work. I’m not going to stop entirely, but I think it might be advantageous to do more streams like the “discussion playthroughs” or my recent ranking stream, where I can interact with chat and hopefully build a bigger audience before diving into games that might be less popular. I find streaming very fun, but it comes less naturally to me than making videos, so let me know if you have any other ideas in the comments!

Last, the channel hit 20k subscribers this year! ! I’m really, really grateful for everyone sticking with me even through this slow upload period. This next year should be a good one for the Splatoon community, and I can’t wait for all of the videos, fanart, discussions, and debates that will come out of it. Thank you, and happy new year!

Just wanted to give a bit of a channel/ personal update:

I apologize for the lack of uploads lately. I’m actually working on multiple video scripts right now—the issue is that I keep switching my focus between them. Also, I’m still trying to get myself an actual career and escape retail hell, so Youtube can’t always be my top priority (as much as I want it to be).

For now, streaming has been the easiest thing for me to keep up consistently, and it’s been a lot of fun! I really appreciate everyone who stops by to chat, and everyone who has joined the discord! Thank you for sticking with me—it means a lot.

In other news, there’s a very good chance we get a Raiders trailer this month! Should that happen, I will definitely do my best to cover it as soon as possible (i literally think about this game every day and we know nothing about it i am quickly going insane)
