The new Disney Live Action Moana dolls are days away from release and the close up photos of the dolls are causing quite the stir in the dollyverse🤣.
Call me silly...but for the Rock...um....Maui. ...this doll represents a new body type, tattooed and unique! He is fully articulated guys....yes..at the knees and wrists!!! The face sculpt looks decently cast as well! While l dont think the young actress who plays Moana ( Catherine Laga'aia ) looks anything like this doll who even sports a darker, more richly complected skintone than the actress herself....to me? This doll offers a new face sculpt! She'd look great re-bodied!
The collector version of Moana has articulation at the knees and elbows AND wrist which is always a plus. Her flat feet sport an odd dusting of sand to simulate her sandy lifestyle ( slightly superfluous addition if you ask me but..whatever😅).
They look.....NICE!
I do wonder what the price will be? I heard 15-25$.
I'm excited to see the dolls in person. What do you think?

Why are these Defa Lucy doll heads so big!? Such a pretty face sculpt. She originally debuted with long pale purple hair, and they've re-dressed her and put her in the same outfit as their flagship popular sculpt once wore. She is pretty this way too! I've also seen her now in pale skintone in a white top and jeans. But the massive head and the horrid DRY hair AND the rooting leave much to be desired. I'll try to shrink her head.... but honestly? Im not sure it'll work. The hair feels so cheap that l am almost positive that it will just melt away. Plus the face paint may simply wash away as well....
Sigh ***
Gonna do it anyway.

Expectation....versus reality. Hehehhee should have known. But after checking with customer service on the Target site to see if this was a doll or a fashion pack ( and being told it was indeed a doll 🙄)... l can firmly say....yeah...no Paige doll in sight. This is just a fashion pack. A nice one though!
FarOutToys....where is this Paige doll🤣??? I give up....
