Kalam Cosmological Argument – Part 2 | The Philosophical Dimension/Evidence
In this second installment of our series on the Cosmological Argument, we dive deep into its philosophical backbone, engaging with both classical and contemporary thought.
This is not just a discussion of physics—it’s a journey into metaphysics, logic, and reason, featuring the great intellectual duel between Imam Al-Ghazali (رحمه الله) and Aristotle, and also some of the necessary principles from the Islamic theological masterpiece like Sharh al-Aqaid al-Nasafiyyah by Imam al-Taftazani (رحمه الله).
What you’ll find in this episode:
Why the universe cannot be past-eternal
The impossibility of the actual infinite in the real world
The classic Hilbert’s Hotel paradox and what it reveals
Why infinite regress in causes is philosophically incoherent
The brilliance of Imam Al-Ghazali’s refutation of pre-modern Greek metaphysics
Responses to modern misconceptions about the universe being self-sustaining and self created
This video aims to restore the dignity of kalām, Islamic philosophy, and rational theology in our contemporary discourse.
This is a must-watch for anyone interested in the intersection of Islam, logic, metaphysics, and the revival of classical Islamic thought in modern intellectual debates.

As Promised...
"Could the universe have come into existence by chance? Or does its order and precision point to an Intelligent Designer?"
In this short and animated video, we explain the Teleological Argument — also known as the modern Argument from Design — in clear and simple Urdu for the general public.
This isn’t emotional preaching.
This is reason.
This is philosophy.
This is faith built on logic, not blind belief.
In this episode, we explore:
- Why complexity, order, and purpose in nature suggest intelligent design
- How modern science, from DNA to cosmic fine-tuning, strengthens this argument
- Why randomness and blind chance fail to explain the harmony of the universe
- How belief in God emerges not just from scripture, but also from reason
This is the second video in our series on rational arguments for the existence of God. The first video explored the Argument from Contingency, which received widespread attention after the debate between Mufti Shamail Nadwi and Javed Akhtar.
Now, we continue the journey — not for debate but for clarity and conviction.

Heartfelt congratulations to @muftishamail sahab — Islamic scholar, author, and researcher — on a historic and intellectually dignified performance in the recent debate on “Does God Exist?” with renowned poet, writer, and lyricist Javed Akhtar Sahib.
What distinguished this debate was not noise, rhetoric, or provocation—but tahammul (intellectual restraint), yaqeen (certainty), and confidence rooted in reason. Mufti Shamail Nadwi Sahib presented his arguments with calm authority, clarity, and philosophical depth, setting a benchmark for how serious metaphysical discussions should be conducted.
One of the central pillars of his reasoning was the Argument from Contingency—a classical, rigorous philosophical argument for the existence of God. This is not emotional preaching. This is logic. This is reason. This is philosophy that survives scrutiny.
Interestingly, we had uploaded a detailed explanation of this very argument three years ago. At that time, it was ahead of its moment. Today, in light of the renewed public discourse and confusion surrounding atheism and theism, the need to revisit and properly understand this argument has become undeniable.
Therefore, we have re-uploaded this video—not for trend, not for debate theatrics—but for clarity.
In this video, we explain:
What the Argument of Contingency actually is
Why contingent beings cannot explain themselves
Why an Independent, Necessary Being is philosophically unavoidable
How this argument dismantles the claim that the universe is self-sufficient
Why belief in God is not blind faith, but a rational conclusion.

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
We are delighted to announce the launch of a new course titled 🔥 "KASR AL-ASNĀM AL-FIKRIYYAH"
كَسْرُ الأَصْنَامِ الفِكْرِيَّةِ
"Breaking the Intellectual Idols"*” which mirrors the Prophet Ibrahim(علیه السلام)'s act of ideological rebellion.
This initiative is intended specifically for brothers and sisters with a strong religious inclination, especially those who have been asking to start a course on these isms/Introduction to Western Civilization/Epistemology/Atheism/Feminism/Liberalism/Secularism/Scientism and answering the allegations laid against the glorious Quran and the Holy Prophet, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, etc. It will be taught to our colleagues at the Islamic Society at our Colleg/Saidu Medical College directly/physically, and then the video recordings will be shared on FB and YouTube.
This course has been a long-standing aspiration — an effort to explore and complete an essential area of study that deserves proper attention. After much contemplation and delay, we’ve decided to begin, trusting that Allah ﷻ will guide and ease the way ahead.
Since there is no comprehensive book or structured video material currently available on this topic, we have taken the step to develop and present this course ourselves.
We warmly invite all of you to join this journey of learning and reflection, seeking together the strengthening of faith and the defence of Islamic thought — for the sake of Allah alone.
We'll share the video links all along. It'll be a lengthy one, but that's what it is, and that's how it needs to be done and understood. It's not a one day study to grasp all of these concepts and then debunk and refute them accordingly and present side by side the Islamic stance throughly. I hope everyone understands.
Regards and Dua,
Mohammad Zamrood Khan.
