🌲 Hi, we’re Joe & Tina — high school sweethearts, married 26 years, parents to 3 amazing kids, and proud retired military veterans.
In 2022, we sold almost everything and traded city life for a slower, more intentional life in Alaska. What started as a leap of faith has become a full-on homestead journey rooted in family, faith, hard work, and freedom. We share real life on our Alaskan homestead — the wins, the struggles, and everything in between. You’ll find:
• Homesteading
• Building projects & DIY
• Homeschooling & family life
• From-scratch cooking & preserving
• Seasonal rhythms of life in Alaska
• Cozy vlogs & honest conversations
We believe in living as self-sufficiently as possible, working with our hands, raising our kids close to nature, and choosing a life that feels meaningful — not rushed. If you love simple living, homesteading, family-centered content, and life in Alaska, you’re in the right place.

📌UPDATE on Bradley:
6/27 7:30pm:
Hey guys, thank you all for your prayers, I’m getting a lot of messages for updates on B. Thank you so much for caring about our sweet pup.🥹
He is still at the Anchorage emergency vet. Vet wants to keep him again overnight & redo chest X-rays in the am. Bradley has been in an oxygen kennel since last night. They have slowly tapered him off assisted oxygen all day today and they have one more level to go & he will be back to “room oxygen,” so basically breathing on his own. Which is a GOOD sign.🙏🏻
Unfortunately, one lobe of his right lung is still consolidated. Meaning it has not re-inflated on its own.
The big question: We don’t know if there was a discrepancy with that lobe to begin with which is what caused all of this creating a “bulla” (abnormal, oversized air-filled blister) that ruptured causing a leak in his lung -OR- if he suffered from some sort of blunt force trauma that we don’t know about which caused the leak in his lung.
I’m waiting for a call back from the vet on if we’re leaving him there overnight again, which I think is best just in case he fills with air again. They can treat him (Joe & I can’t).
Then tomorrow we would re-xray the chest to see if that right lung lobe self corrected and inflated or if it’s still compromised.🥹
That’s where we’re at. Our hearts are broken. Our dogs mean so much to us and as you all know, Bradley is special. He is unique & full of character. Our family would not be the same without him. Gunner misses him so much & has not been himself all day.😔
My biggest fear is there will come a point financially that Joe & I cannot continue to pay for further recommended treatment. We are $5000 in already with no end in sight at this point. We pray for a miracle & for tomorrow his right lung has self-corrected & we get to bring him home.
We appreciate your prayers so much right now. I will continue to update on this initial post as we get new news.🤍 Tina-
📌Original post 6/27 10am:
Prayers for our sweet Bradley!🥹 Joe had to rush him to the Anchorage pet ER late last night.
We noticed he wasn’t feeling well yesterday, but as we got into the later evening, his breathing became labored & around midnight, he started gasping for air.😔
We have NO clue what happened to him. He was perfectly fine until yesterday. But the vet said somehow he punctured his lung, and his chest cavity filled with air & the air was pressing against his lung so he couldn’t breathe.
We’re racking our brains like; did he get kicked by a moose, did him & Gunner wrestle to rough?! We just have no idea.
They admitted him & put a hole in him to release the air & he spent the night in an oxygen kennel.
We are supposed to get word sometime today if his lung is improving on its own (which it can, depending on the size of the tear) or if they have to do surgery to repair it.
We still don’t know how this could’ve happened to poor Bradley. My heart is broken. His bed was empty this morning & I just can’t handle that…😔
Gunner is beside himself. Paced all night, back and forth from his bed to Bradley’s. They’re bothers from the same litter & Gunner knows something is wrong.
Please pray for Bradley friends. We are so sad today.🥹

We JUST hit 140,000 subscribers.🤩
I never imagined seeing that! It all started with Joe buying me my first camera back in 2018.🥹
At the time, I wasn’t starting a business or building a brand. I simply wanted to capture pieces of our life. Little moments that might otherwise be forgotten.
A project we were working on, homeschooling Parker, an adventure we were having, a lesson we were learning, or just an ordinary day together as a family.
Year after year, those little moments turned into a story.
You’ve watched us through some incredible highs and some heartbreaking lows. Through big dreams, unexpected setbacks, fresh starts, and seasons that tested us in ways we never saw coming.
You celebrated our victories, encouraged us through disappointments, and reminded us that there are still good people in this world.❤️❤️
What amazes me most isn’t the number itself—it’s that 140,000 people have chosen to be part of this journey with us.
In a world filled with endless content, you’ve spent your time with us, and that’s something I’ll never take for granted.
So today, I’m feeling incredibly grateful.
Thank you for watching. Thank you for supporting our family. Thank you for laughing with us, learning with us, and sometimes even crying with us.
Most of all, thank you for allowing us to share our little corner of Alaska with you.
We appreciate every one of you more than you know. ❤️
Here’s to the next chapter & many more!

Joe’s working on some landscaping today.
1) The rhubarb?! Out of control.😂
2) We have so many wild chives. They’re so pretty! Joe saved them & transplanted little clusters throughout the bed.
They remind me of something from the cartoon “Horton Hears a Who” with all their cute lil purple puff balls!😂
Love the pops of color all over the homestead! Most of which is natural…we didn’t plant any of it. Dandelions, wild roses, chives, lime green spruce tips.
Love this time of year.🥰 Tina-

I’ve been asked before why we don’t do more charity work. Why we don’t share God’s blessings with others & share that on our channel.
How do you know we don’t?
My answer is actually very simple:
✨Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.
— Matthew 6:1
✨Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do…that they may be praised by others.
— Matthew 6:2
It’s enough for us that God knows. He is the only one that matters.🫶🏻 Tina
