February 17, 2025. the worst day of my life. I was studying Maths because I had an exam on the eighteenth. I wasn’t very confident, but I practiced as much as I could. I finally finished everything by 12 a.m. After going to the washroom, I lay down on my bed, ready to sleep. But suddenly something strange started happening. My left arm became stiff, and my muscles began contracting violently. It hurted like hell, yea. My hand started shaking badly, and I was confused more than terrified. I wanted to scream, but the words were stuck in my throat. My father noticed the jerky movements of my hand and instantly turned on the lights, panic in his eyes evident. Before I could say anything, everything went black. I fainted. My parents had no idea wtf was happening to me. My muscles were convulsing, even my facial muscles stiffened. It happened once, then stopped, then happened again while I was unconscious. I finally woke up around 4 a.m. with an extreme headache. I couldn’t process anything. I wasn’t able to speak. I looked at my mother through half-lidded eyes.. her eyes were filled with tears. After a while I vomited and fainted again. Horrified, my parents took me to the hospital around 8 a.m. I was rushed into the emergency room. When the doctor examined me, even his face paled. He turned to my parents and said the words they never expected to hear: “Seizures. She was having epileptic seizures.” The color drained from my mother’s face as she broke down crying. I was too weak to speak or stand; nurses placed an IV drip in my hand while I lay half-conscious in my mother’s lap. I was admitted for five days, but the seizures were life-threatening. It was my first time, plus having 4 seizures more than 5 minutes... I was on the verge of dying — but somehow, I survived. I went through multiple medical tests. MRI, FNAC, X-rays, liver tests, and more. Then everything changed when the MRI report revealed cysts in my brain... tuberculosis cysts, called tuberculoma. My medication began immediately after I stabilized. It has now been eight months since that tragic incident. I’m still taking heavy doses of medicine every day. The schedule is strict, each medicine must be taken at the same time with a perfect 24-hour gap. I have to continue this for four more months, and then the TB will finally be gone. Although I’ve improved a lot so no worries — the cyst has reduced by about 65%. Thank God.
