Thank you, thank you to all my subscribers and viewers! Japan Sim World just recently hit the 1K subscriber milestone! And it’s all thanks to you for viewing, commenting, liking (and disliking lol), sharing, as well as of course subscribing!
A little over a year ago, a small niche idea of sharing the world of Japan-themed sim games and gameplay experiences turned into a little YouTube channel. This channel has purely been a labor of love, all capturing, recording, editing, and publishing done by me. And while I had hoped to hit the 1000 sub milestone one day, I didn’t imagine it would happen this quickly. And because of that, I’m truly grateful to all of you who have come to the channel and supported it!

Despite living in the US, I enjoy trying to replicate some Christmas traditions practiced in Japan. And one popular tradition is KFC and Strawberry Christmas Cake. KFC in Japan is much higher quality but I have to make do with what we have here.

Happy 100th anniversary to the full completion of the Yamanote Line! Bit late on this one as the celebration was a few days ago, but seeing how much a simple railway loop around Tokyo has shaped a world renowned city and its history for a century now is truly remarkable.

The Zuiki One Handle controller that has been used extensively on this channel for many train sims isn’t an inexpensive controller, estimated to cost around 15000 JPY (under 100 USD) if bought locally and even more expensive if imported.
I just realized that JR EAST Train Simulator, while compatible with the Zuiki controller, has had its own official controllers released earlier this year and my goodness they are absolutely incredible!

If we thought the Zuiki was expensive, get ready for this! The official controllers for JR EAST Train Simulator range from 2.5 to 3.8 million JPY! That amounts to roughly 16000 to 25000 USD! 😱
I’ll have to stick to the Zuiki controller for now 😅
このチャンネルで多くの電車シミュレーションに使われてきたズイキワンハンドルコントローラーは、決して安いコントローラーではなく、国内で購入しても15,000円程度（100ドル以下、輸入するとさらに高価になります。
JR EAST Train Simulatorはズイキコントローラーに対応していますが、今年初めに独自の公式コントローラーが発売されたことに気がつきました。そして、驚くべきことに、それがとんでもなくすごいんです！

Because of you, this channel has gone from literally nothing to a small yet growing space in sharing the world of Japanese simulation games and game mods.

Was digging through old video clips and photos to see if I could use anything for an upcoming short and came across some old pics from a trip to Japan many years ago.
Me playing 電車でGo! 2 (Densha De Go! 2) at an Odaiba arcade with full train controls! I don’t remember doing so well 😅
