Some may have heard already, but for those who haven't, Japan's debut on the Train Sim World series will not happen this week as the much anticipated Tadami Line add-on has been delayed shortly after its July 30th release date was announced. Specifically, the development team has discovered performance issues from its early testers that need to be ironed out.
Of course I was excited about this and was really looking forward to featuring the new Tadami Line on TSW 6 in a video after its release, but it seems we will now have to wait a little longer. Will we have to wait until after the release of GTA VI? Hopefully not, but time will tell...
Personally I don't disagree with putting a game back in the oven to cook for a little longer instead of charging people for a half baked product (and knowingly doing so). But I know this add-on has been floating around for some time, going all the way back to an Instagram post I believe for TSW 4! At one point, I had dismissed this as merely a rumor that wouldn't materialize into anything. And for a while it seemed that way until recently when the release date was actually announced. Many years and two iterations later, plus with TSW 7 around the corner. And to me, that's really the bigger problem. With DLC such a big part of the train sim genre and with many players likely buying base train sims for the purpose of specific DLC, floating new DLC for that long while the base game continues to change is the bigger issue I feel that needs to be addressed.
Anyways, I'm still planning on giving this add-on a try once it gets released, really my first deep dive into the Train Sim World franchise. Hopefully they will release it soon.
Any TSW players out there? What are your thoughts on all this? Comment down below!

Little sneak peak at what’s currently being worked on. We’re going back to the 2000s and re-living one of Sony’s most exciting products, their first gaming handheld in the PlayStation Portable or PSP! Released in Japan in 2004 and in North America in 2005, the PSP brought people closer to a console-like experience on the go than ever before. Many of its games in fact were ports from its older home console sibling, the PlayStation 2. And this was no different when it came to Japanese train sims from Taito and Ongakukan at the time.
Stay tuned for an exploration into the world of Japanese train sims on the PSP! Six games in total, all related to similar releases made for the PS2.

So as I was aimlessly scrolling through some old photos from 2019, I found this little surprise. While I have recently played games from Taito's JetでGo! series on this channel, I had no idea that I had actually come across the arcade predecessor once before!
This is the cabinet for Landing High Japan, Taito's arcade flight sim that the JetでGo! home counterparts are based off of. Its also interesting to note that All Nippon Airways (ANA) is featured here, instead of Japan Airlines (JAL) in JetでGo!
The things we find sometimes...
『JetでGO!』

Its been a little while since the last upload, but a new video is currently in the works! Recently I had a chance to get back onto the rails and finally get around to playing the newly released train sim "Running Train 走ル列車" and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. A Steam indie game in early access, but a very impressive game nonetheless with plenty of detail both visually and gameplay-wise. If you're already a fan of Japanese train sims, this is a must try! Check out the game for yourself if you're interested and stay tuned for the Lets Play video!

The new Zuiki MasCon Pro appears to have just been shipped and it looks incredible! Currently it is only available to supporters from their crowdfunding campaigns on GREEN FUNDING and Kibidango, essentially Japanese versions of Kickstarter.
With their crowdfunding limited to Japan residents only, I unfortunately wasn't able to secure one for now. And even if I could, it looks like they had so much support that they quickly ran out of registration spots. Indeed it speaks to how popular rail sims are especially in Japan and how popular these types of controllers are.
The base model MasCon Pro was available for 33400 JPY to supporters which amounts to around 209 USD or 180 EUR. Certainly more expensive than what the regular Zuiki MasCon goes for when bought in Japan and that could give a clue on what the actual release price could be.
I have heard that a release to the general public will be happening soon which is good news because resellers are currently asking upwards of around 4 times the crowdfund supporter price. So unless you have got to have it now and have the money to spend, it may be best to wait for the general release if you're interested in trying this controller out for yourself.
Please feel free to comment what you think and if you are planning on getting this controller! And if you were a crowdfund supporter and have received yours, I'd love to hear about your experience!

I have said before that Taito seems to always think of everything. And an upcoming video that’s in the works explores yet another unique idea that Taito had in the late 90s and early 2000s.
Train sims, flight sims, even RC sims. But how about an excavator or power shovel sim? Yes, they did that too! And of course they had to make a dedicated controller for it.
Stay tuned for our first video exploring yet another 90s/2000s sim game from Taito!

Thank you, thank you to all my subscribers and viewers! Japan Sim World just recently hit the 1K subscriber milestone! And it’s all thanks to you for viewing, commenting, liking (and disliking lol), sharing, as well as of course subscribing!
A little over a year ago, a small niche idea of sharing the world of Japan-themed sim games and gameplay experiences turned into a little YouTube channel. This channel has purely been a labor of love, all capturing, recording, editing, and publishing done by me. And while I had hoped to hit the 1000 sub milestone one day, I didn’t imagine it would happen this quickly. And because of that, I’m truly grateful to all of you who have come to the channel and supported it!
I’ve never been more excited about this little YouTube journey than right now and we’re still just getting started. If you’re stopping by the channel, please check out the videos and like, comment, share, and subscribe if you like what you see! More content is always to come, so please stay tuned!

Despite living in the US, I enjoy trying to replicate some Christmas traditions practiced in Japan. And one popular tradition is KFC and Strawberry Christmas Cake. KFC in Japan is much higher quality but I have to make do with what we have here.
Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄🎁
