OF is still going strong. Still having entirely too much fun. I like thinking up a theme, figuring out hair/make-up/outfit, trying to be both model and photographer...and then also editor. It's work, but it's satisfying.

Yesterday one of our hickory trees fell on our house. No worries, we're okay and the house was spared. Luckily, I have an awesome Adirondack chair that Joe made for me that just so happened to be in the perfect spot to catch the brunt of the hit and act as a fulcrum to spare the roof. When Joe got home he managed to get it all off the house with just a sawzall and the chainsaw off the polesaw. The tree is now in pieces in my backyard. We'll finish breaking it down for friends this weekend.
Since I hate to waste an opportunity, I decided to use it for this week's photo shoot. I tore apart an already ripped sheet and fashioned an outfit, braided my hair, and got out the paint. I was going for a wood nymph/forest protector feel and I think I managed it...mostly. Cosplay remains delightful.

The home visit with the fam went swimmingly for the most part. I came home with a cold, however, and still feel awful. Blech. Late spring/early summer colds are the suck, my lovelies. I am still a might exhausted from all of that family togetherness. That was a lot of socializing for someone that is basically a hermit. I hope you all had a lovely week and I wish you an even better weekend.

This week I am in West Virginia visiting the fam. One of my nieces has graduated from high school and we've got her graduation party on Saturday. Thus far I have mulched flowerbeds, helped my Mamacita clean and organize her closet, change and steam curtains, played with the kidlets, and snuggled my mom's new puppy- a little black poodle named Spike. I'm exhausted and I still have four days left. Lol. I'm happy to see my family, though. It's been long time.
Since I still had to work, I took advantage of the beautiful scenery here at the farm and decided on my new, pretty pink dress and a vague fae theme. And, since Joe was kind enough to help me resaturate my underlayers, I pumped up the colour and made it dreamy. I really like how they turned out. I feel pretty today.

Next week I'm headed to the homeland.
..one of my nieces is graduating and apparently my family misses me or something. 😋 I'm hoping my anxiety doesn't act up overmuch and that the fam understands about my exhaustion level. Probably not, though. Invisible (and thus far unkown) illnesses are tough for folks to wrap their heads around. Wish me luck, darlings. Family togetherness, while rewarding, is also exceedingly tiring. I need some extra spoons.
Time for your weekly ad! This week I was so stoked! I got to try out a punk rock/ emo/egirl aesthetic. Black vinyl in 85F heat was maybe not the absolute best idea, but I think the pics were totally worth it. I feel like, with a little tweaking, I've totally got the makings of a pretty cute album cover.

Update! There's really nothing to update. Lol. Not much has happened since last week. The puppies are good, Joe is good, I'm good. No complaints...except that shipping takes way too long just now. But that's just petty stuff, really.

Hello, My Lovelies!
Update time: Daenerys gets her stitches out today! She's been a very good and very brave girl. Now she'll have scars on her tummy like her mama. Ah well, they add character, right?
Finally got in to see the dermatologist. I have zero psoriasis! Yay! However, that means we still have no clue about what made my all of my joints swell simultaneously Christmas before last. And no idea why my fingernails are currently problematic. Oh, and the incessant nightly hot flashes? They've given me roseacea on the left side of my face. Luckily, they make a treatment for that, so hopefully at least THAT will be taken care of.

OF is going well. Decided to go a bit classy and slightly demure this week. Figured it was a good time to showcase the hair. Also wanted to do something a little old fashioned, but not TOO old fashioned. Daenerys update: surgery was scary. They almost lost her. Baby Girl is a fighter, however, so she pulled through. Now it's just a matter of keeping her chill since Little Miss thinks she's perfectly fine and didn't just have major surgery. 🙄
In other news, OF is going well. I had a special request for a Tink shoot. Ladies! I need more cosplay in my life! That was entirely too much fun. I even got to deploy my tragic photoshop skills. Woot! It's my page; I do what I want.

I hope your week has been awesome. Mine has been pretty okay. I have to take Daenerys in for surgery tomorrow. She's getting spayed and a multiple mastectomy. I'm hoping it is just something weird and not what I'm afraid it is. Fingers crossed.
