Two new songs out today, ‘Amour / 22’✌🏼These started as demos on my laptop a few years back and then teamed up with my friend James McAlister to bring them to life. Huge thanks to him as well as Chad Copelin for mixing and David Deaton for adding some keys. Available everywhere now!

Santa Fe is one of my favorite tracks from my album “Black Bear” although the final recording turned out so much different than the original demo. I wrote it on an acoustic guitar on a very snowy morning in my first apartment in Evanston and had planned for it be a lot more mellow than it eventually became. Playing it live on the Black Bear Acoustic tour last year reminded me of how much I loved the simplicity of the demo and made me want to record/release a (Hushed) version for you all. Track 4 is called Father’s Day. I wrote the idea for it on a piano a few years ago while my kids played on the floor behind me. You can actually sorta hear them in the background in the beginning. After we sketched out what we wanted the song to sound like my man @iamjonguerra elaborated my rough idea into this beautiful finished piano melody.
