First off, on the YouTube side: I managed to grow to over 650 subscribers. Compared to where I was at the start of the year with under 500, this may be the most growth as far as sub count I've experienced in a 12 month period! I'm hoping that'll change in the future. Despite video releases being more sparse than previous years, I think the quality of my videos increased much more this year. Attributed with the help of a better workflow and a new editing software! This year, I switched from Pinnacle Studio to Davinci Resolve; and because I was taking a class that worked inside it at the time I was just starting out in it, it helped me get a bit better of an understanding of some the tools inside. I've still got more to learn in the coming time, and it's something I look forward to doing! I look forward to using these new tools and tricks in the stuff I put here, along with other classwork as well!
Second, over on Twitch: I was able to hit over 100 followers on my Twitch channel in the first half of this year! I'm super proud of myself for that, as streaming has become something I've given much more thought to than I initially would've thought I'd give. Not only did I hit that milestone, but I also got to celebrate my two year anniversary with some great friends of mine, playing the game I made a sub goal for seven months. It only took me bringing that back up in conversation for like a minute, and I was given DOUBLE the original goal of ten subs! That celebration stream ended up being one of my favorite streams from the year, and you can watch highlights from it, AND the full stream in the links below this paragraph! (Full 2 Year VOD) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evgpi... (Edited Highlights) https://youtu.be/MxNk92GksIw?si=FHhFP... Not only did I celebrate that anniversary, but I also celebrated my 5 year anniversary of my SRB2Kart beginnings on stream as well! I had so many of my friends there playing along, all of which have had a significantly positive impact on me, one way or another on the journey! That stream also saw my highest viewer turnout I've had, and was even a successful double-stream! That's right! I was able to stream this even on Twitch AND YouTube with ZERO problems! The VOD can be seen in the link below this paragraph! (Full 5 Year VOD) youtube.com/live/1z85vV-r63Y?si=GHrctDEodppTH2Pi Another major thing with my Twitch this year was that this year gave me my first paycheck from Twitch themselves! That's right, your boy's finally getting paid out for this stuff! Thanks to every person who's given even a small sum to me during one of my streams. That kinda generosity means so much more to me than you may realize. Finishing up with Twitch stuff, I've finally been able to customize my channel a lot more this year and make it a lot more me coated. It's been an absolute blast, and I'm glad my audience has been having a blast with the new stuff in there as well! I want my streams to be a place where we can all relax, but also meme to hell and just generally have fun and a couple good laughs. I think I've done a good job with that this year, and I think it'll only get more crazy in the future.
Finally, on my IRL side: So I'm halfway through college. That sentence is terrifying for me to think about, but it's true. It still kinda feels like I just got here. Time's only moved faster and faster, but I've kept up. I've also been able to continue learning more stuff within my field, and FINALLY get to put some of these things we've learned about into practice, as I finally got to take my beloved Video Production class! I also got to work in a live setting with the TV station, which was also a blast, and went too quick. But I get to do it again soon, and I also generally look forward to the future classes within my major that I still have, and just continuing to work in creative settings. While I've continued building new connections and friendships this year, I wanted to make it a point this year to rekindle some older relationships from when I first started hanging around here more. I was able to reconnect with several people this year, some I hadn't talked to in months, others I hadn't talked to in years. But regardless, we were able to strengthen those bonds more, and getting to hang out with those people again has been a highlight of my year. Finally, on a more personal note, 2025 was probably the best year for me mentally. Which, considering all the bullshit going on in the world this year, may be a crazy sentence to say. But 2025 was the year I was finally able to make peace with myself, and put all of my past behind me that was holding me back from seeing the good in me. On top of that, I feel like I've gotten a lot of my confidence back. Something else I was hella short on the last few years, but I feel like I've reached a point now where I can actually start believing in myself again. I think that's reflected in my newer work as well. It was a long af battle, and I can recall several times where I thought I was down and out; but fortunately, I've been lucky enough to be surrounded by numerous loving friends who've stuck by me no matter what. I'm so thankful and grateful for every last one of you.
I think that's everything I got for my year in review. Again, thanks to all of you for continuing to stick around and supporting. Even in my more limited presence due to a growing list of commitments, I still wanna be around as long as I can, and share more stuff with you guys. Be it a regular video, or a stream, these are things I wanna put my whole heart into. Like this ending year, let's all go into 2026 together, and face what comes head on, yeah? Thanks so much for reading, y'all take it easy, treat yourselves nice, and I'll cya whenever I cya next!
If you wanna see some of my favorite moments from my 2025, check out this compilation! I'm sure you'll get a good laugh or two out of it ^^ https://youtu.be/eRlbk052DrE?si=5ocUz...
I've asked this a couple times throughout, but I wanted to ask again because I enjoy gauging people's thoughts. And going back to the now 5 years since I created the SRB2Kart Racing Bot series, I'm curious: Which entry of the series is your personal favorite? What about that entry in particular do you like about it? Any specific clips from it you really like? I'd like to know ^^ I'm adding a poll for this one; and since YouTube removed the option for a 5th choice, I'm making each trilogy it's own option. You can specify which you like most
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I'VE GOT A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT FOR YOU ALL! COMING TO YOU THIS SUNDAY THE 27TH! SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY! I WILL BE CELEBRATING MY 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF WHEN I STARTED SRB2KART! WE GOT A STACKED LINEUP OF GUESTS FOR YOU GUYS THAT YOU WILL NOT WANNA MISS! I WILL ATTEMPT TO DOUBLE STREAM THIS ON YOUTUBE AND TWITCH! (in scenario the double stream does not work out, I will have a single stream on Twitch) MARK YOUR CALENDARS, GET EXCITED, BECAUSE WE'RE FINALLY REVVING UP OUR KARTS ONCE AGAIN!!
yo I totally didn't realize today's actually my 2 year anniversary of me starting to stream lmao. I unfortunately don't have anything lined up for a celebration, BUT, I DO have a collab lined up for tomorrow! You should tune in for it :D Link to Twitch: www.twitch.tv/verting1_
I can't believe it's officially been a full year since I concluded this chapter of my time here. I still remember how this one video single-handedly stole the entirety of my June; it wasn't the healthiest decision I've made I'll admit lol. Both halves took 2 weeks to make, and then add an extra 3 days of re-recording EVERY replay because I realized how terrible the quality was. It was the right decision, not just for the video, but for myself; as there's no way I'd be able to think of this in a positive light if I left it in it's original state. Was it exhausting? Without question. But y'know what? Even with all the crap I went through putting this one video together, I'm still proud of how it turned out. It felt great to premiere this video with a live chat and watch along with people and friends that both inspired me, and whom I inspired as well. And while I still may have some particular opinions about the series as a whole, I still think it went out with a bang, and I feel others would say I did the series justice with it's conclusion (no the Ring Racers montage doesn't count that's a whole different thing from the Kart stuff). Do I miss it? Sometimes, yeah. But I still believe this was the best way it could've ended and I'm so happy that people enjoyed it
My God, it already is that time of year now. Well first off, Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you get to spend some quality time with anyone you love and hold dear, indulge in some good food & gifts, or whatever it is you do for the holiday! Now, time for a little update on my end since I don't have to make videos out of these anymore lol. First off, some of y'all may have seen the Ring Racers montage I shadow dropped a few nights back. Imma be real, I'm still not really into that game after giving it a second chance. However, I did still have interest in potentially making a comp out of it, and it was an idea I was going back and forth on for awhile. After some lack of motivation to really make any videos, I finally decided to just get off my ass and just make it. In all honesty, it wasn't as fun as making the Kart comps, but I'm still very happy with the end product. I won't rule out future Ring Racers videos, but I also wouldn't count on there being more in the future. Second, I also got back in the process of updating the VOD channel. I have 4 new ones up now, and they'll officially be added to the playlist once I finish writing this post. It's been an absolute thrill, streaming has been this year, and I'm REAL close to 100 followers over there. I also have intentions of making a few videos out of those streams as well, it really just depends on time. Not only that, I plan on making another highlights video for July-December, similar to how I made one for my first year (hopefully not as long lol). That's as far as updates for streaming goes for me. Third, while on the topic of motivation, I'm making it a goal to get my cut of my short film out before the New Year. For those who may not know, I competed in my school's 48 hour film festival with some new friends, and ended up winning the first prize. The film wasn't to the full vision, and I wanna make that right. So before the New Year and definitely before the next semester starts, I wanna be able to share that with y'all. Finally, I just wanna say I really do appreciate y'all's patience with the bigger gaps in between videos. I'm a strong believer in quality over quantity, so I want my actual videos to reflect that. Not only that, but with all the life shit going on and other focus going towards streaming when I have free time, I'm absolutely grateful that all of you have stuck around as long as you have. You guys are the best. So before I go indulge in the holiday, I got one little extra treat for you guys. Tonight at 6pm EST, I'm gonna joining Cyan Later! over at his channel for a little SRB2K collab. We'll also be joined by Boi Rocket, and I also understand that VIEWERS LIKE YOU will be able to hop in and race with us too! If you like Kart and got some spare time, come hang out! It'll be fun, I promise! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nP2wq... Anyway, that's all from me. If this is the last you hear from me on this channel this year, then I'll just say it now. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and let's go into 2025 with stride! Hopefully it won't go as quick as this year did... Jesus...
I made this the summer I was going into my sophomore year of high school. Now I'm nearing the end of the summer I'm going into my sophomore year of college. These 4 years have seriously changed me in a way I genuinely couldn't ever have anticipated, and I'm still wondering where all that time went
