DID NOT FINISH BOOK! Most readers know that sometimes you just don't vibe with a book and it's okay to stop reading it. For me this was one of those books. β’ From what I did read this book is all about how to stop giving a f*ck (obviously lol) and not to put so much emotion into miniscule inconveniences. This includes not getting upset when others haven't mastered this art and release their anger out on you. β’ This is how I already live my life and therefore I was getting nothing out of this book. I am a nonchalant person that likes to protect my energy and not let things get to me. However, I would recommend this book to someone who feels they are too emotional and lets everything bad that happens get to them. * * β’ Rating: 2/5 β’ Author: Mark Manson
This book gives details of life after her tell all New York times best selling book Confessions of a Video Vixen. Karrine Steffans tells how she was portrayed, treated differently, and reveals incidents that weren't in her first book. * I feel like I could have lived my life just fine if I hadn't read this book. It was a struggle for me to finish. It seemed like it should be a fictional book that depicted a fairytale with the many different times she fell in love. Although my favorite genre to read is autobiographies this just didn't do it for me. * Rating: 2/5 Author: Karrine Steffans
Quick read that will take you no more than a couple of hours. This book is all about taking action and making sure you go the extra degree. Itβs focus is about you simply taking a little bit of extra time a day or week doing something that will have a more impactful result later. I appreciate the underlining message that one extra degree is the difference between hot water and boiling water so you should always strive to go that extra degree. Great book would highly recommend especially if you are trying to get motivated and change the results of your life. Definitely a book that I would read multiple times. * Overall: βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ Author: Sam Parker
This was really a story about overcoming imo.. like he went through a lot as a child. Like imagine waking up not expecting it to be a good day most of the time and you can't change the circumstances!!! I did enjoy some of the pieces that the movie left out such as him dealing with homelessness at one point. You really got a deeper dive on what it took for him to get to a better position in life. I would def recommend this book β
So I am not really a fan of sports but yall know I love autobiographies. This man was name dropping people I had no idea who they were π€¦πΎββοΈπ To me there were so many gems dropped in this one like don't do things simply for the money because If you are good at it the money will come... Sometimes you may have self doubt about how good you really are then the next thing you know you're good enough to be drafted in the first round. * This book also gave me a new found respect for professional athletes as well. The amount of work they put in and stress they put on their bodies and sometimes are looked at as objects. Really a case of shut up and play. Or "you're making millions what do you have to complain about." He didn't get too much into his personal life but kept it all about basketball. Which very much was/is a majority of his life. Overall I thought it was well written and I appreciate him letting us in. I also learned some new basketball terms lol. Thanks Andre * Overall: βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ Author: Andre Iguodala
This book was very informational but I don't think for me specifically. This was more to help women who are married or have kids. I like how she pointed out that mothers a lot of the time put themselves on the back burner financially to help out their children. A lot in this book I couldn't relate to but still a great read * Author: Suze Orman
I must say that this is a great book to get you charged up and bring out your inner rhino. It is the stepping stone and gives you the full blueprint of how to become the best you you can be. This book reminds you that success is not a unicorn concept itβs just a matter of how willing and motivated are you to go after it. It's a simple question, are you going to be a cow in the pasture or are you going to be a charged-up rhinoceros? Period π€·πΎββοΈ * Overall: βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ Author: Scott Alexander

If you need help identifying your story brand then this is the book for you! * * *Rating 5/5 *Author: Donald Miller
So yall know I love my autobiographies and fiction books aren't really my thing... But I really loved this book and the story line. It's about a girl named Dana that travels to a foreign country and is introduced to a lifestyle she never imagined. Dana is being sought after because she has a sacred heart and Sorahiko promises to protect her at all costs. * Even though he tricked Dana into accepting his proposal, I appreciate how Sorahiko was true to his word and remained Dana's saving Grace. Dana was someone I was not a fan of lol. From arguing about the room arrangements, to not telling her sister what was really going on, to being rude to Kimiko (which may have been justified after all), to not respecting Sorahiko's wishes after his biggest battle... She was just too much of a little miss know it all for me. I can see a sequel to this book that I would much enjoy reading. This one took me by surprise * Overall: βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ Author: Keri Moore
This book was really an eye opener and is the true example of privilege is blind to those who have it. * She grew up poor with a mother on drugs that taught her how to do petty crimes at a young age. She got pregnant at the age of 13 by a man that was 8 years older than her. By the time she was 15 she had two kids and had dropped out of school. With being a young drop out and a mother, she knew she had to make ends meet and started selling crack. * I enjoyed this book. It shows you that despite how you grew up the outcome of your life can change tremendously. The book is actually an encouraging way to tell you not to give up and how sometimes what you really want is not what you need. * * *Rating: 5/5 *Author: Patricia Williams
