Today marks the 1st anniversary of the FFX vs FFXII video!
I wish I had a YouTube-related announcement to go along with this but I don't. I've been trying out other creative pursuits and life has been busy in general.
I've had multiple ideas for videos in the past year but they all fell apart in the script-writing stage. I wouldn't feel good if my next upload didn't surpass the one before it, so if I decide to make another proper video it will need to be a truly special project that I can dedicate time to. I have no timeline (or even guarantee) for this.
My friends and I put this together as a submission for the Pirate Software game jam.
Play as a lab rat with telekinetic powers trying to escape the facility. You'll need to control the keyboard and mouse at the same time to progress - your platforming, puzzle-solving and multitasking skills will be tested.
There's an in-game timer and medal system too, for you speedrunners out there ;)
I was working on a script for another video game analysis but I have scrapped it. Tried to rework it a few times but it wasn't sticking. So there will be no vids for the foreseeable future.

It's getting great numbers so far compared to other vids on my channel, which I'm pretty happy about. But what I'm most happy about is the engagement it's getting in the comments. A lot of people have brought their own opinions and analysis, not all of which I agree with but it's great that I made something that gets people to think about these games too.
So what next? I have several ideas for (much shorter) videos, so expect another upload or two this year. But for the immediate future I'm probably gonna force myself to take a break. This has been such an exhausting effort, day in day out. I want to avoid burnout and make sure the next thing, whenever it drops, is the same quality if not better.

Bit of a different announcement today.
We made a game!

Soooo the video came out. Hope it lived up to expectations!
