With all the ? Panels now collected in Mario Kart World Free Roam, now seems like a good spot to pause the series. I'll come back for the rest of the Peach Medallions later on, but I really want to start my playthrough of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment ASAP. And who knows, maybe by the time I come back to it, MKW will get DLC.

My Splatfest Day 2 video will be running late again. Between that and the Joker Festival in Sonic Racing CrossWorlds going on at the same time, I didn't get much sleep last night since I had so much recording and editing to do. The Splatfest video is uploading now, and expect the Joker Festival video next Saturday.

I had originally planned to start publishing a new series on Mario Kart World tomorrow, but it looks like my Switch 2 isn't going to arrive until tomorrow, so I'll have to wait until Monday to begin that series while I record over the weekend.

A few updates for my channel: My laptop is in the repair shop getting its overheating issue fixed now. Between that and what seems to be a change to YouTube's algorithm, as well as changes to Shorts and the impending launch of the Switch 2 (which I have registered for pre-order on Nintendo's website), a few changes will be made to my schedule for the next couple months.

First, the Shorts change will result in changes to two of my current series. First, as I was saving my Shorts for my individual challenge runs for last week's Nintendo World Championships NES Edition challenges, I discovered that YouTube now allows Shorts longer than one minute (up to 3 minutes now). With that in mind, I still have a couple weeks worth of Survival Mode and World Championships event videos in the queue, but after that NWC NES Edition will become a Shorts-exclusive series. However, there are two particular challenges (Mario Master and World 1 Wizard) that are still too long to fit into the 3-minute limit. So if a future event comes up that features one of those two challenges, I'll record a longform video for both Survival Mode and the World Championships combined for that week and publish it in the Random Saturday afternoon slot (when I've been publishing my Splatoon 3 event videos or my Tetris 99 Maximus Cup event videos). Or if I decide to take another crack at the Legendary Trial, I'll publish that in the same slot.

The other series that will be affected by the change to YouTube Shorts is my daily morning F-Zero 99 series. When the F-Zero Discord started doing Time Attack community challenges every Monday, I would record runs for each of the community challenges as well as other runs I wanted to do on my own for fun and publish them the next day (on Tuesday). But now that I can make each individual track run its own Short thanks to the new 3-minute limit (though any version of Fire Field would be cutting it close!), I feel like that would be a more effective way to publish my new Personal Best runs, as well as being easier to track on Speedrun.com than a longform video combining multiple tracks. With that in mind, I'm splitting Pro Tracks and Classic Mode back up, and now Tuesday will be Pro Tracks and Friday will be Classic Mode. I combined them when Time Attack took over the Tuesday slot, but now that Time Attack will become a new early-afternoon Shorts series (1:00 P.M. PST, like my NWC shorts going up at 1:00 A.M. PST), it doesn't make sense to combine them anymore. So as of next week, the morning F-Zero 99 schedule will be:

Monday - Normal 99 Races
Tuesday - Pro Tracks
Wednesday - Mini Prix
Thursday - Team Battle
Friday - Classic Mode
Saturday - Grand Prix
Sunday - Variety Marathon (extra length, a little of everything)

Also, if I achieve a new competition PB during the recording of any of those videos, I'll make a Short out of that too.

As for my two ongoing weekday afternoon series, like I said above NWC NES Edition still has a couple weeks of longform content left, but after that, starting Thursday, May 8, I have another video series in mind for the Tuesday/Thursday afternoon slot that I'd be able to finish the same day the Switch 2 drops (June 5).

Which brings me to my other ongoing weekday series for Monday/Wednesday/Friday, Doom The Way Id Did. The series will most likely still be going by the time the Switch 2 arrives, and for the sake of recording Mario Kart World ASAP, that game will take over the Mon/Wed/Fri afternoon slot starting Friday, June 6 while Doom The Way Id Did finishes up in the Tuesday/Thursday slot after my other series finishes.

My nightly Randomizer series and my weekly Sunday Longplay series will remain unchanged.

My Springfest Day 1 video is taking longer to upload than expected. Part of that had to do with my laptop overheating overnight, making me start the upload process all over again. Yeah, I may get things done at night, but I guess my laptop tried to get too much done last night. I'll take it in to the shop on Tuesday after I record my next F-Zero 99 Time Attack video. It took about a couple weeks to fix last time it overheated, but I do have enough scheduled videos in the queue to keep the content flow going in the meantime.
