I lived in Japan for 10 years and learned from an ex's mum how to make REAL matcha (not with the "ceremonial grade" nonsense we see in the west).
It starts with which matcha powder you choose, much like with coffee beans you can't pull out flavours that aren't there.

I can't even tell you how much extra work it took to get that all sorted. I learned so so much about environmental regulations, what a Bill of Lading is, and international shipping which was TRIPLE the cost because of the 90-day pause on the tariffs from Europe so everyone is shipping to the US like crazy.
Not to mention the improvements to the book like more space to write, new fields for roaster, grinder RPM and pre-infusion, and a more premium cover material. It's one of the biggest personal projects I've undertaken and it's actually there now in warehouses ready to go both in the US and the UK shipping to Europe.
Thanks everyone for the support for the First Edition, which is almost completely sold out but a few still available on the UK Amazon store (search for the First Edition). I would not have been able to keep taking risks like this and making videos for this channel without the amazing love I've gotten for this book.
I hope you'll pick one up if the shipping cost scared you off first time you went to my shop page.

I got a GREAT question about my recent video on the missed opportunity of roasting coffee. Green beans are 1/4 the price of roasted coffee, so it could be a solution to my issues making money on the channel, right? So why don't I start a roastery?
