First off, I'm always amazed that there are people who not only watch my videos, but also some of you who look forward to what's coming next, and even some of you who read these posts to learn more about what's going on behind the scenes. Thank you. Sincerely. Thank you.
Second, The ABC's of Italian Food was an absolute blast, I learned a lot and was inspired to make a few longer videos before moving on to the next shorts series because some ideas and recipes couldn't fit into 60 seconds. In March, I made the History of Carbonara video, and I have a couple more that I'm working on now. Then I'll give the parm a rest for a little bit. Haha.
Third, in February, over 40% of you voted for the next series to be the ABCs of Chinese Food, so I planned it out and decided that I needed to travel to China again to learn a few more things before diving in. I spent 2 years living mostly in the Sichuan/Guizhou area, so instead of only making 26 Sichuan dishes, I'm going to travel to some other regions and try to make dishes from all over the country.
Last, in the meantime, there were a few comments on that poll about how American Cuisine "doesn't exist," and it really motivated me to educate the world about all the American dishes that I've grown up with and love. So... while I research and test some Chinese dishes for next year's ABC's, I'm going to dive into the ABCs of American food, try to make at least one longer recipe/travel/history video a month, and continue making shorts about smaller topics that I think you will enjoy.
Thanks again for your support and for watching my videos!
MILLIONS of you watched the ABCs of Italian food last year, and it means so much to me. Thank you! Grazie mille. But before jumping straight into another series, I wanted to see WHICH ABC SERIES YOU WANT TO SEE NEXT (along with a reason that I think it makes sense and you may enjoy it.)
If there is overwhelming support for one of these, I'll probably do it, but if the answer is split pretty evenly, then I'll just go with my gut. AND if your choice doesn't win, then don't worry, because eventually all of these will be made. Thanks again for the support. I'll keep making videos as long as you keep watching them... and probably a little longer than that too.
Thank you so much!!! It's difficult to share how amazingly GRATEFUL I am to have found an audience of people who enjoy food, cooking, and goofy jokes as much as I do. Let's keep learning, eating, and growing together. THANK YOU!
