⚔ Can the Horus Heresy Get the Combat Patrol Treatment?
“Combat Forces” are marching into the Horus Heresy—but wait, haven’t we seen something like this before? After conquering 40K and AoS with bite-sized Combat Patrol boxes, GW has now unleashed three portable Horus Heresy starter kits: Legiones Astartes, Solar Auxilia, and Mechanicum.
Legiones Astartes — 22 miniatures with flexible weapon loadouts, plus a Deimos Rhino and massive Leviathan Dreadnought.
Mechanicum — 9 heavy-hitters including Thrallax, Castellax automata, and the hulking Thanatar.
Solar Auxilia — 28-strong company with Lasrifle infantry, Tactical Commanders, Hermes Sentinels, and a classic Leman Russ.
This feels like Combat Patrol in glow-up form for the Age of Darkness—ideal for starting armies fast or boosting your collection with elite core units.
