Hey friends! You may have noticed that I’ve been reposting videos for Halloween, I mentioned in the description of my first one that “life is life-ing” and I wanted to give a little update.

Last week my husband, Mike, had emergency gallbladder removal surgery. It went well and he’s recovering, but last week was a lot. He is such a huge help with the business, so having him suddenly out of commission was very impactful.

Last week we had 2 vendor events spanning 3 days as well as 2 cookie classes. There was just no way I could have prepared for the events on my own, so we cancelled the events but I kept the classes. Fortunately this week is less crazy with just one pop up, but it’s still been a lot.

With all of this I haven’t wanted to try to create any new videos, so I’ve been recycling Halloween videos from the last 2 years. Not everyone has followed me this whole time, so they may be new to some of you anyway. I’m trying to be active in the comments but will probably continue to be reposting through this week.

I don’t always have time to record decorating my orders and that was the case for these two “Baby in Bloom” sets I had in the last couple of weeks. I just really loved how they came out and wanted to share them.

Both clients gave me a lot of creative freedom, and one leaned into pinks and florals, while the other went for a leafy look with gold accents.

It’s always so fun to see how the same theme can take on a completely different vibe with just a few design changes! Which one do you love most?

Over the summer I mentioned that my husband rescued an injured kitten. I’m not sure if I ever made any updates since!

This is Fuzzy (named by our 6 year old son) and he is now a full blown cat. We had his front left leg amputated a few months ago and he’s fully healed and totally healthy. I’m not a cat person and this guy is the sweetest.

He is however a little too agile. We had to install a 6 foot gate to keep him on the lower level far away from the kitchen. He kept jumping over everything else we put in the way but this has seemed to work so far!
