So - streaming to Youtube as well is provably making network issues worse. I still have them *without* streaming there, but they're a lot... less. So no more streaming to Youtube as well.
Instead I'll be reviving my archive channel - @vaultyss - which i should give a makeover to. ill also upload some vods which didn't make it here - i think there's a deltarune one that didn't make it.
in any case - vods are gonna be there! ill also setup a shortcut via my site (enbyss.com/vods) at some point - it'll need a migration, but yeah.
and regarding videos --- yeah i think i burnt myself out on editing and kinda tried to ignore it for too long lmao. im working on some scripts and research that may potentially lead to a video essay - and im considering starting to edit shorts again. mostly because they're bite sized pieces, and a lot more manageable. they *could* be videos, but my options there are to either spam uploads *or* do compilations - and the latter isn't somethin i sure i have the motivation to do yet lmao

Today I ran a test - live streaming to both Twitch and Youtube, and it worked.
Not gonna be multi-streaming - the youtube stream will serve as a backup. It'll be unlisted and chat will be disabled - its primary use will be for VOD controls (being able to scrub back in a stream) and automatic VOD upload - in addition to being sorted under the Live tab.
I'd make it public, but it seems I can't stream without alerting people. Maybe I'll stream on public anyways, serving maybe as a notification that I'm live - but for now I'll stick to unlisted to avoid annoying people. I guess it depends no what people prefer. So let me know!
small update: instead of putting streams on the other channel, I might try something else. uploading the first part of the stream publicly, and the rest in an unlisted playlist. that way i don't have to manage multiple channels, and you all can be notified for new series without being spammed. thanks to my friend Mechtroid for the idea!

hey, pretty major announcement - infact an update video might be incoming.
i'll be moving to twitch.
so - funny story. you know all those internet issues? in the last stream you can see me contact my ISP live and everything. this issue has been happening for a while now, getting worse recently.
well, today i tried my last resort after they told me they could not find any issues, even after the technician came. i tried streaming on twitch. i had no belief in this working because, why would streaming on youtube tank my upload speed?
well. it does. because the stream on twitch worked perfectly. infact, I streamed Tears of the Kingdom on there, and we had no issues whatsoever.
my friend's theory is that basically, youtube is assigning me to the wrong server, causing a lot of instability in my network as it desperately tries to ship off the stream to some far away or broken server.
i could try waiting for a fix, but considering how long this issue has been going on for, and my faith in youtube being a fat zero, i took this as a breaking point and decided to just commit to the switch. so after these few years, i'll be going back.
again - i'll be making an upload video to make it more visible or maybe elaborate more - but yeah. if you'd like to see my streams, go onward to twitch.tv/enbyss_ . at least my streams won't blow up there.
TL;DR: internet issues were the fault of youtube. moving to twitch.
