Country Johnny Mathis

‘Country’ Johnny Mathis was an Country Music singer/songwriter who scored his first Top 5 Billboard Chart hit in 1954 with the song, “If You Don’t Somebody Else Will”, as part of the duo, 'Jimmy & Johnny'. Johnny was a regular on the Louisiana Hayride in the 50's, made appearances on the Grand Ole Opry and toured with everyone from Elvis to George Jones. As a songwriter his songs were on dozens of Billboard Charting Country albums and multiple Billboard Charting Country singles with 12 Country Music Hall of Fame Inductees recording his music. Some of the artists who have recorded Johnny's songs are George Jones, Charley Pride, Elvis Costello, Johnny Paycheck and many others. Johnny received 2 BMI Citations of Achievement.

His music is placed in shows like CBS' 'Young Sheldon' and the Michelob ULTRA 19th Hold commercial ("Just Do The Best You Can") and continually placed in movies and documentaries.
