Welcome to the Starsky Carr community ... this is a bit of an experiment to see how useful a community section on my YouTube channel might be.
I'm hoping it will help you to share tips, tricks and answer any questions or solve any problems others might be having with their kit.
So please keep things positive, helpful and engaging. A lively chat in the pub between synth heads. I'd love this to become a community hub.
We have a 'live' synth group in Liverpool that meet regularly and is a lovely welcoming community. Perhaps this could be a global virtual equivalent...
Play All Day have offered a 10% discount to anyone subscribed to my Patreon. A most generous and unexpected gesture! It's great to be able to offer extra bonus stuff to supporters of the channel.
The Prodigy VCOs were so 'present' compared to the Grandmother I thought I'd sample them. They're available to patrons or you can pick them up from my website:
I've finally gone and got my very own website!! I know I'm 20 years too late, but I had to do it eventually. So many people ask for patches and stuff that I've made a few patch banks of some of my favourite bits and bobs... and there are some sound clips as well ... some free stuff and some you can pay for.
I've just created a bank of 64 synthwave inspired tones for @ArturiaOfficial Pigments exclusively for my Patrons. Pigments is such a highly flexible synth engine and is capable of some stunning sounds, and in this I've demo'd how well it covers some 80s classic patches. No flutes, oboes or accordions here though (factory presets were particularly crap back then) - just useable synth sounds. Use them as a starting point to kick off some vintage vies. Combined with my tutorial series you've got all you need to take and tweak.
After recently picking up a DX7 I decided to learn how to program using the excellent free DEXED. The patches are syses and work on the opsix, opsix native and the DX7. I've created 32 patches (a complete sound bank) FREE for my LOVELY PATRONS

PLEASE BE AWARE **I'M NOT ON TELEGRAM**
There is a scammer contacting people to tell them they've won a prize an asking for the postage.
ITS NOT ME. Please report them to Telegram.
Here's an example.
