YOUR LIFE IS SHAPED BY YOUR THOUGHTS

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23)

It’s not every thought that comes to you that is from God. The only way you know the source of your thoughts is through the light of God’s Word, and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It’s very important what you think about, and how you think, because your life is shaped by your thoughts. Our theme verse in the Good News translations says, “Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.” Screen and filter your thoughts; mount garrison over your heart, because out of your heart are the issues of life!

You have to be the policeman of your heart; take charge of your heart. Don’t allow every thought. Allow only God’s thoughts, righteous thoughts and thoughts of love in Christ Jesus. “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:cool.

You’re the character of your thoughts. What you think about, you become. The Lord Jesus actually related this in His teachings in a most enlightening way. He said, “Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart”
Matthew 5:27-28). Your thoughts can deliver to you a glorious life or keep you on the sidewalk of life.

If you’d let the Word dominate your thinking, it’ll create the right thoughts in you and give you the right mindset. You’d think victory, success, dominion and possibilities only. Romans 12:2 says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind….” When your thoughts are consistent with the Word, your life will be a reflection of His glory, for the glory is in the Word. So, discipline your mind to accept only the right thoughts.

Have a beautiful day today.

Shalom!

GUARD YOUR EARS: A SANCTUARY FOR GOOD TIDINGS

In the quiet of this morning, let's consider something we often take for granted: our hearing. In a world that constantly floods our ears with noise—endless news cycles, the chatter of social media, opinions, debates, and background clamor—it’s easy to forget that our ears are gateways to our soul.

What we listen to directly shapes our thoughts, our emotions, and ultimately, the condition of our hearts. That’s why the simple instruction, “Your ears are only for good tidings,” feels both refreshing and radically counter-cultural. It’s a divine invitation to be intentional curators of what enters our inner world.

Scripture places immense importance on what we hear and how we listen. The wise proverb gives us a foundational truth:

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” (Proverbs 4:23)

But how do we guard this wellspring of life? We start by guarding its entrances. Our ears are primary doors. You cannot maintain a heart of peace, faith, and joy if you are constantly letting in fear, gossip, strife, and despair.

This principle is echoed throughout the Bible:

· It calls us to turn away from worthless speech (Psalm 141:3).
· It reminds us that “faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17). What we hear regularly builds the kind of faith we possess.
· Paul urges us to fill our minds with what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). This curation begins with what we choose to listen to.

Making It Personal: A Hearing Filter

So, how do we put this into practice in the messy reality of our daily lives? It begins with building a simple “hearing filter.” Before you tune in, ask:

1. Is this true? Is it based on fact and integrity, or is it speculation, gossip, or “fake news” designed to provoke?
2. Is this necessary? Does this information serve a godly purpose in my life, or is it simply clutter?
3. Is this life-giving? Does it build up my faith, encourage my spirit, and align with the “good tidings” of God’s love and sovereignty?

Your Practical Step for Today

Today, I invite you to a short but powerful exercise in mindfulness:

For the next 24 hours, be acutely aware of your “audio intake.” This includes the news you choose to play, the podcasts you subscribe to, the conversations you engage in, and the music that fills your space. Notice how each source makes you feel—anxious or peaceful, cynical or hopeful, burdened or lightened.

Then, make one intentional swap. If your morning usually starts with a scroll through alarming headlines, let it start instead with five minutes of a Psalms audio Bible or a worship song. If your commute is filled with contentious talk radio, try a period of silence or an edifying teaching. Protect just one part of your day for “good tidings” only.

A Prayer for Our Ears

Heavenly Father, You are the source of all good and perfect gifts, including the gift of hearing. Today, I surrender my ears to You. Help me to be wise and disciplined with what I allow in. Teach me to turn away from words that breed fear and doubt, and to tune my heart to Your eternal truth. Let the first and final news I hear be the good tidings of Your love, Your salvation, and Your faithfulness. Shape my heart by what You would have me hear. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Remember: You are not a passive receiver of the world’s noise. You are a guardian of a sacred sanctuary—your heart. And it all starts with what you choose to let your ears hear. May your day be filled with the good news that God is with you, for you, and at work within you.

Have a beautiful day today.

Shalom

FLEE AND PURSUE: THIS MUST BE YOUR DAILY CHOICE

Let’s be honest with ourselves for a moment. How often do we treat temptation like a curious onlooker, edging closer to the caution tape, thinking, “I’ll just get a little closer look”? We flirt with what harms us. We linger near old traps, convinced we’re strong enough now to resist their snap.

But the Word of God gives us a different, far wiser strategy for dealing with sin: Don’t fight it. Flee from it.

The call to holiness isn’t a gentle suggestion; it’s an urgent command for our own protection and joy. “Flee from sexual immorality,” Paul writes (1 Corinthians 6:18). The instruction isn’t to stand and debate, but to turn and run. Why? Because sin isn’t a passive thing; it seeks control. “Do not let sin control your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires” (Romans 6:12). Every moment we linger, we give it a foothold (Ephesians 4:27).

Yet, this “running away” is only half the holy equation. We are not just called to flee from something, but to flee toward someone.

True holiness is active pursuit, not just avoidance. The apostle Paul charges his spiritual son Timothy: “Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart” (2 Timothy 2:22). Notice the beautiful balance: Flee and pursue. We empty our hearts of sin by filling them with something—or Someone—better.

So, what does this look like in the gritty reality of a Tuesday morning?

First, get ruthlessly honest. Identify your vulnerable areas. Is it a habit of mind? A type of entertainment? A toxic relationship? A spiral of negative self-talk? Name it before God. He already knows, and His conviction is kind, meant to free you.

Second, create kind boundaries. Don’t rely on willpower alone. If a certain website, conversation, or environment consistently trips you up, make a plan to avoid it. This isn’t a lack of faith; it’s an exercise of wisdom. “The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty” (Proverbs 27:12).

Third, run to the Spirit. When the pull of temptation feels magnetic, your first step isn’t to argue with it. Your first step is to call on a name: Jesus. Pray instantly. Quote a verse of promise. Put on a worship song. This is what it means to “walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16). You are actively filling the space with light, so the darkness has no room to remain.

Remember, you are not left to do this in your own failing strength. God’s promise is your anchor: “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).

That “way out” is your cue to flee. It is God’s grace in action, providing an escape hatch. Your job is to take it.

Today’s Prayer:
Lord, give me the courage to be honest about where I am weak. Help me to see temptation not as an invitation, but as a danger signal. The moment I feel its pull, turn my heart immediately to You. Fill my desires so completely with Your goodness that I find the old temptations simply lose their appeal. I am fleeing from sin because I am running into Your arms. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Take One Step:
Before this day ends, identify one practical “way out” for your most frequent temptation. Decide on your action plan now, so when the moment comes, you are ready to flee and pursue.

Have a beautiful day today

Shalom!

THE MAGIC OF ROUTINES THIS YEAR

As we enter 2026, the call is to build unbreakable routines—to rise with purpose, work with integrity, and rest in gratitude. Above all, we must prioritize the disciplined patterns that fuel our spiritual growth: daily Scripture, fervent prayer, and unwavering obedience. Remember, this discipline is not a chain; it is the refining fire that strengthens faith.

The Apostle Paul lived this conviction: "I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified" (1 Corinthians 9:27, ESV). To Timothy, he emphasized that while physical training has value, "godliness is of value in every way" (1 Timothy 4:8, ESV).

Scripture is clear on the necessity of this inner fortitude. Without self-control, we are vulnerable, "like a city broken into and left without walls" (Proverbs 25:28, ESV). Yet it is precisely this quality—self-control—that is cultivated in us as a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:23).

The promise for a life aligned with God's word is profound. As Joshua was commanded: "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night... For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success" (Joshua 1:8, ESV).

This year, let us align our lives with heaven's rhythm. Let's begin now. What one habit will you commit to, for God's glory?

Have a pleasant day today.

Shalom!

BREAK FREE FROM ROUTINE RELIGION THIS YEAR.

Beloved, as we step into this new year, let's shatter the chains of empty rituals and embrace a vibrant, authentic walk with God.

Refuse to settle for superficial religion—mere motions without heart. Instead, commit to serving Him with passion and purpose, cultivating a relationship that's extraordinary, not ordinary. Determine today to pursue intimacy with the Lord that transforms your life from the inside out.

Remember the words of James: "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world" (James 1:27, NIV). And heed Jesus' warning: "These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules" (Matthew 15:8-9, NIV).

This year, let your faith be alive and active. Surrender fully, worship deeply, and watch God move mightily in your midst. What step will you take today to ignite that fire? Your answers to this will help birth something greater in you.

Have a solidly beautiful day today.

Shalom!

2026: The Year of Good Tidings

Beloved in Christ,

As we cross the threshold into 2026, we do not simply greet another calendar year. We step into a season that our God has sovereignly named “the year of Good Tidings.” This is not a mere wish; it is a divine declaration over your life, your family, and your future. The scriptures are filled with the promise of God’s good news—tidings that bring peace, joy, salvation, and hope.

The very heart of our faith is built upon this glorious reality. When the angel appeared to the shepherds on that holy night, the announcement was clear:

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” (Luke 2:10, KJV)

This “great joy” is not confined to the past. It is the everlasting gospel, the foundational good news that Jesus Christ has come, has conquered sin and death, and offers eternal life to all who believe. This is the first and greatest tiding of 2026.

How does God deliver His good news? He often uses willing hearts and willing feet. The prophet Isaiah paints a stirring picture:

“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!” (Isaiah 52:7, KJV)

Your life, your words, and your actions can be that beautiful messenger this year. As you walk in obedience, you become a carrier of God’s peace and salvation to those around you.

A Prayer for 2026

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of this new year. We receive Your declaration that 2026 is a year of Good Tidings. Fill our hearts with the great joy of the gospel. Make us beautiful messengers of Your peace and salvation. Heal our brokenness, set us free from every bondage, and anchor our hope in Your unfailing plans. May we live each day in the confidence that You reign. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

May the Lord’s good tidings of great joy, peace, salvation, and hope be upon you and your household throughout 2026. Amen!

Have a good day today.

Happy New Year!

Shalom

CUSTODIANS OF ETERNAL BLESSINGS

Genesis 12:2

…I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.

The Christian is blessed in all things. He’s blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. In Genesis 12:2, God didn’t say to Abraham, “I will bless you and make you ‘lucky’”; rather, He said, “…I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.” This is what you need: the consciousness that you’re blessed and are a blessing! You’re empowered to be successful; the ability to prosper in all things has been invoked in your life; it’s inherent in you and works all the time. Everywhere you go, there’s favour.

Your steps are always ordered of the Lord; you don’t go anywhere by chance, and you don’t go anywhere alone, for He’s in you and with you always. This is the heritage of the seed of Abraham. It worked for the physical descendants of Abraham—Isaac and Jacob; they were blessed in all things and bequeathed the same blessings to their generations.

It’s even better with us today; the Bible says, “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29). Ours is a better covenant, established upon better promises (Hebrews 8:6); promises that have all been fulfilled in Christ. You ought to know like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that you’re blessed, and the custodian of blessings. Make this your consciousness and confession.

Have A Fruitful Day Ahead

Shalom!

GUARD YOUR WORDS, GUARD YOUR BLESSINGS

"Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear." — Ephesians 4:29 (ESV)

It can start subtly—a shared concern, a critique voiced in frustration, a "prayer request" laden with unnecessary details. Yet, God's Word places immense weight on the words we speak about one another, especially within His family. Gossip and slander are not minor social faux pas; Scripture places them among serious sins and describes them as an "abomination" to God . When we gossip, particularly about our spiritual leaders and our church, we do more than share information. We actively sow seeds of discord, break trust, and attack the unity that Christ prayed for His Church to have .

The warning is clear: "you will never get blessed in a place you gossip about." This isn't a superstition; it's a spiritual principle. Blessing flourishes in an atmosphere of faith, love, and unity (Psalm 133:1). Gossip creates an atmosphere of suspicion, division, and death (Proverbs 18:8). How can we expect to receive God's full blessing in a community whose fabric we are tearing down with our words? James starkly reminds us that if we think we are religious but do not bridle our tongues, our religion is "worthless" .

✝️ What Scripture Says About Gossip

The Bible leaves no room for ambiguity about God's view of gossip:

· It is a sign of a depraved mind, listed alongside malice, murder, and hatred of God (Romans 1:28-29).

· The Lord declares, "Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy" (Psalm 101:5).

· It is one of the things God hates, specifically because it "sows discord among brothers" (Proverbs 6:16-19).

· We will give an account for every careless word we speak (Matthew 12:36).

When we gossip about our pastor or church, we are not just talking about people; we are speaking against a part of Christ's own Body and hindering the work He has appointed to it.

It is also vital to distinguish between destructive gossip and legitimate, loving conferral. Gossip is motivated by idleness, malice, or the desire to feel superior, and it broadcasts secrets widely. Loving conferral is motivated by a desire to help, involves only those who can provide wise counsel or necessary accountability, and aims for restoration .

Before you speak about your pastor, a ministry leader, or a fellow believer today, pause. Ask the Holy Spirit: "Will these words build up or tear down? Will they promote unity or division? Are they necessary, true, and kind?" Choose one person you can encourage today with a word that gives grace.

Have a beautiful day today.

Shalom!

HOLD ON, HELP IS COMING

"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." — Isaiah 40:31

This is to everyone serving faithfully—pastors, leaders, volunteers, and believers feeling the weariness of the journey—this word is for you.

Ministry, at its core, is a work of hope. Yet, there are seasons when the harvest seems delayed, challenges multiply, and strength wanes. The call to "hold on tight" is not a dismissal of your struggle, but an affirmation of a coming reality: divine help is en route.

Our assurance is not in the absence of storms, but in the presence of the One who walks on water to reach us. Jesus Himself is our greatest reminder that God sees, knows, and responds. As today's verse reminds us, "No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God... has made him known". When you look at Jesus—His compassion for the broken, His patience with the doubting, His power over chaos—you are seeing the heart of the Father toward you . The same God who sent His Son as ultimate help is meticulously orchestrating yours.

Three Anchors for Your Soul:

· Your Labor is Not in Vain. Scripture assures that God "is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints" (Hebrews 6:10) . You may not see the full fruit today, but every act of service, every word of truth, is a seed planted. "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" (Galatians 6:9)

· Your Strength Can Be Renewed. Exhaustion is a signal to wait, not to quit. The promise of Isaiah 40:31 is for those who "wait for the Lord." This is an active, expectant trust. Cast the full weight of your anxieties upon Him, "because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7) . In exchange, He provides the strength to mount up, run, and walk through every season.

· Your Focus Determines Your Fortitude. "Look unto Jesus," the pioneer and perfecter of faith (Hebrews 12:2). In difficult moments, resist the temptation to fixate on the towering problem. Instead, follow the example of Peter and fix your eyes on Christ, the author and finisher . He started this good work in and through you, and He will be faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6).

Take One Step: Today, identify one concern that has been weighing you down. Literally or figuratively, lift your hands and release it to God in prayer, saying, "Father, I trust Your help in this. I choose to hold on to You." Then, find one person to encourage with a simple word or act of kindness, passing on the hope you have received.

It is well with you.

Have a beautiful day today

Shalom!

YOUR PERSONAL ASSIGNMENT

When the Lord speaks a directive over your life, remember this: it is not a conference call open to group discussion. It is a personal, intimate call meant for your ears and your obedience. Our instinct to run and seek validation from every voice around us can often become a trap. As we try to "carry people along" by over-explaining, we can inadvertently open the door to discouragement and even ridicule, making God's clear instruction seem foolish in human eyes.

This is because our walk with Him is built on a relational whisper. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). Hearing His voice precedes following Him. It requires attentive stillness, like Elijah tuning his heart to the “gentle whisper” (1 Kings 19:12), ready to respond not after a committee vote, but in immediate faith.

Yet, hearing is only the beginning. The true test is in our obedience. Scripture gives us a sobering warning: “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves” (James 1:22). It is possible to hear clearly and still fail in the doing by inviting unauthorized voices into the process.

Look to our father in the faith, Abraham. “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called… And he went out, not knowing where he was going” (Hebrews 11:8). He didn't delay for a consensus. His faith was perfected and proven by his works of obedience. This is the pattern God honors: immediate and trusting action is the only appropriate response to a divine instruction. Remember the timeless principle given to Saul: “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice” (1 Samuel 15:22).

Today, quiet your heart to hear His personal call. And when you hear it, step out in faithful obedience. Trust that the One who called you will also equip and establish you. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Your assignment is between you and Him. Hear, and then faithfully do.

HAVE A SPLENDID DAY TODAY

Shalom!
