Thank you all for 3k subs! As promised, here is a (probably) unconventional behind the scenes video as my thanks for 3k subs on YouTube. Originally going to cover the stuff in my workspace or a "day in the life", I decided I'd be candid about how/why I ended up making manga + my workspace.
This covers my evolution from animation to comics to manga, experience at art college (Ringling), life after college, and a very emotional visit to the Art of Manga exhibit at the de Young Museum in September.
I worked super hard on editing this one. I had do to it in chunks and multiple retakes since I moved during filming. 😅 Feedback appreciated.

Hey all, I dun goofed and messed up the publishing schedule. Video will be out at 11am CDT, November 6th. (Coincidentally, it's Aros' birthday too!) It's already out on Patreon. YouTube always suggests a day after when scheduling, and I forgot to change that when I was getting it out there. I didn't notice it as I was offline for most of the day today with my phone off. Explains why I didn't see many notifications when I turned it back on.
I'll just blame it on Aros. It's canon.

So I have two announcements and a Poll for you all!
1. Good news: on Friday I removed all the monetization on the channel for all my videos and livestreams. I would really love to make more income, but for the entire month of November, you'll be able to watch everything with no ads.
I'll probably turn it back on in December but limited to pre/post roll ads. I know it'll really hurt my income, but I'd rather make less and not have yall dealing with midrolls.
2. I'm really happy you enjoyed my last video about Kodansha and Mochikomi. So many amazing comments, and it is STILL a 1/10 in my dashboard after about a week. So thank you all so much for watching, liking, and commenting. Also thanks for the hype votes?! I didn't know that was a thing until the weekend? Neat feature.
3. Now for maybe not-as-good news: Today's video is being delayed until Wednesday as I still have the last 5min or so to edit and I want Patreon to have it first. What is it about? The long awaited "Behind-the-scenes" video as my thanks for reaching 3k subs! I definitely wasn't ready when we hit that, a month after I posted it. lmao
Now I'm wondering what we want to do for 5k subs? I added a poll below with some of the ideas I have, but feel free to suggest your own.

Hey all! I have a correction to point out.
Frieren is NOT a seinen manga. I definitely didn't check that before I recorded it, I appreciate my viewers holding me accountable. Thanks to @danielg.w5733 for correcting me.
On that note, I'd still encourage folks to check their own Seinen Manga for this pattern. Also, as @Ayzay1717 pointed out, seinen like One Punch Man can have a lot more variation in paneling. It's a case by case basis with each mangaka, but I'm just forwarding what my editor told me.
I'm overall very happy to see everyone enjoying this video! It's one of my best performers on the channel with a 1/10 currently. I'll do better in the future with try to be even more accurate! Love you all!
