Update:
I just changed my channel name from Karen Leanne Creates to
KLKing Designs.
The reason I chose to do this is:
This is the name I use to sign my work, and label items I've sewn.
More importantly, I have searchable history under this name.
When I started this channel, I thought the name " Karen Leanne Creates" sounded more friendly, but since learning from experts; there is wisdom in having one searchable presence online.
Here's my story:
I'm a retired custom dressmaker who loves many types of crafts. My primary career was in the bridal industry.
I'm now free to explore other mediums and would love to have you join me!
With a sewing area and a papercraft studio, I'm posting a variety of crafts.
Cardmaking, Journals, Watercolors/ Mixed Media , some stitchery;
and sewn accessories & gifts.

Hi Friends! I hope you all had a nice weekend!
Just catching up...I've been so busy making a project and not getting the video footage!
But it's almost ready to share!
I am almost finished hand stitching the triangle 🔺️ quilt top... tomorrow night should be the last of it, then the binding!
In the paper room, I have been working with my Echo Park/ Carta Bella paper that I recently got.
I'll be filming a new video this week. It will most likely be up on Tuesday.
FYI... it's a mini purse journal that has a few details that are uniquely my own!

Hi Friends! I hope everyone is well, and enjoying the rest of your weekend!
Today, I spent 2 hours on a "live" video,
but it is nowhere to be found now!
If you did happen to catch any of it, please let me know!
I need to know what happened!
So, in this fantom live video, I was making tassels. They turned out real cute, but I was bit fumbly with the jewelry making supplies.
There were 2 reasons for this!
1) I don't play with my jewelry supplies enough, and:
2) I had this gorgeous manicure, and the tips of my finger were hurting like crazy!
So I just took the darned things off!
I guess being able to use my fingers is much more important than vanity!!
I'm going to be stitching on my quilt tonight. I hope to have the hand stitching finished in another week.
It's about 2/3 finished!
As for other projects; here is a list of things that I am currently working on:
1) I have a box of alterations and mending to do for my Mom. They are all summer whites and a black pant to replace the elastic in.
2) I am building my own version of a recipe book and will be filming it after the prototype is done.
3) I will be making plenty of Winter and Holiday card sets in the next 2 months.
4) In the sewing room, I am making some Christmas decorations in fabric and lace as treat or gift stuffers.
4) I do have some experimental stuff in mind, but it will be a secret until I am ready!
5) Having just received a replacement for my Minc Machine; I will be sharing some laser printed foil projects.
OF COURSE there is the strong possibility of a spontaneous thing or 2 showing up on my channel!
But for now, that's the immediate focus!

Hi Friends!
I am currently unavailable for making videos for a few weeks.
I am bringing my 89 year old Mother back to N. CAROLINA to live with my husband and I!
This is a very emotional situation, and I need your prayers! I am in Phoenix Az.
As for crafts, can you believe we moved my studio again?
It is now in a much larger space, and Mom is getting the pretty aqua blue corner bedroom where I had my office/
Paper Crafting studio!
It is our 12x15 front living room. Since we have a great-room add-on, there is still our family room for t.v. and dining.
I am going to do a walk through and introduce my Mom when I get back.
Here is a photo of her!
My estimated return is after June 7th.

Hi Friends!
I've been taking a break, but it's time to get some new projects posted!
I recently joined a weekly craft group, and they are making this Gorgeous Yo-Yo quilt! It is part of a yearly fundraising program at a local church.
I'm making a small contribution to this quilt!
Since my Arizona trip, I have been spending time with mini watercolors in response to a well-known UTUBE artist,
Leslie Stroz. She is leading a challenge to create 100 mini paintings in a year.
I will be sharing my progress in an 8x8 album that I am currently compiling.
And, of course, there are cardmaking and handmade journals!
Please respond to me with your input!
What would you like to see first?

Hi friends! ( Time Update)

The thing was just way too big...
So, I am going to be transforming this thing today!

Hi Friends!
I'm coming from the Robeson County Fair grounds on Saturday, 6:25 pm.
Our opening day was shut down by the
Storm yesterday.
Jim and I are here for our actual day of being open.
Tomorrow we will do another attempt at a live video.
We filmed a detailed booth tour and it is not in my phone ! Go figure!
We will try it again tomorrow when we first open. I think the Fair opens at 1:00 on Sunday.
We will be here around 12:30.
