A 120Hz OLED, the best inputs on the market, all wrapped in a sleek chassis. That is the Zotac Zone, the company's first handheld in a nutshell, and should you be in Germany, you can get it for less than 450,- EUR right now: www.alternate.de/ZOTAC/Gaming-Zone-Handheld-Handhe…
Sure, the Ryzen powering the 7" FullHD screen is not the latest and greatest when it comes to mobile silicon, but it can still provide a more than decent on-the-go gaming experience, and again, those ABXY buttons, D-Pad and triggers still give me goosebumps! :D Check out our original review for a refresher, and let me know what you think about an OLED handheld at this price point! https://youtu.be/hU2TyyF_e18
Are you playing the #Battlefield6 beta this weekend? The Alienware Area 51 arrived just in time, so I am definitely going to put that RTX5090 to good use over the next few days!

A new breed of gaming #peripherals? Fractal Design enters the market with their #Scape headset, which they already announced during Computex 2024. While I am still working on our video for these, I wanted to share my first impressions with you guys. I have always been a fan of Fractal's design language. They have been able to put together a clean-looking pair of cans with a ton of functionality without completely compromising their gaming DNA.
The Scape comes with this base station that continuously charges the headset and keeps it in place with magnets. I found those a bit too strong since I would occasionally lift the base station when wanting to use the headset. On the other hand, the convenience of always having a charged headset is tough to beat.
The setup process is also incredibly easy. Just plug in the base station and add the wireless dongle to your machine, and you are good to go. As a nice touch, you can customise sound, the RGB lighting, and the microphone in your browser, so you do not even need to install any additional software. Well done, Fractal.
I also enjoyed the sound and comfort, and I have been using them for hours, be it for editing our videos or just consuming content. They sound quite balanced, with enough bass to be "fun" without being too boomy. Add in the easy-to-reach and navigate controls, Bluetooth connectivity, and, again, the clean design and quality materials, and I think they nailed it on the first try.
I will do a full video about these since I really feel like they deserve it, and we need more gaming peripherals that look as clean and functional as the Fractal Design Scape. But let me know what you think, just another headset, or something truly unique?
The Alienware Area-51 in its 16" flavour finally made it to the studio, and I can't wait to test it properly. I am already a big fan of the overall design, and I like how different it looks from the competition. This is our review config: Intel Core Ultra 275HX RTX 5080 (175W) 32 GB RAM 6400 2 TB SSD 240 Hz 2560 x 1600 IPS $3499
We shot something very exciting with Asus and AMD yesterday, and I was able to get one of my favourite studios as a location. I can not wait until we can scale up production to a similar space, since it would give us so much more room to shoot more advanced stuff.
So ... transparent peripherals ... what are we thinking? I was a bit sceptical when I first got hands-on with Razer's new Phantom Collection, but I must admit it is growing on me a little bit. To be fair, if I got the whole set, if it were all I would use all the time ... well, I am not sure. While I dig the green for "aesthetic" reasons, a see-through grey/white-ish tone would have probably been a safer bet, all things considered.
But if you are looking for a few "it" pieces for your setup, I actually really like the Blackwidow V4. While it feels a bit more plasticky than its regular-coloured counterpart, it types and sounds quite nice! I am already a big fan of the Basilisk V3 Pro, and it also carries the new style quite well.
What about the Firefly V2 Pro? Well, it is an RGB mousepad, and people will likely have a love-or-hate relationship with it. Again, it works well, and it is definitely a cool-looking piece of tech, but if looks are that important to you, to pay the premium here, that is, as always, for you to decide.
This leaves us with the Barracuda Chroma, and again, they look kind of cool, but I am not sure what I think about their general performance. They sound and feel "fine" (I haven't had the chance to test the mic yet), but that is about it.
When I first heard of the Razer Hyperflux V2, I have to admit I was hyped! Too often, my mouse ran out of juice at the most inconvenient time possible (those super stressful buying rounds before the next CS2 round with the boys), which leaves you looking for a suitable USB cable in a panicked frenzy.
But Razer's newest wireless charging solution makes this situation a distant nightmare of the past. Just by adding the charging puck to your supported mouse, you get instant peace of mind. While the Hyperflux is also available with a cloth cover, they sent me the "Hard Surface" variant for our testing, which actually feels quite nice and allows for accurate tracking. The charging puck also auto pairs your mouse with your connected system, and if you own a wireless Razer keyboard, you can also pair it with the Hyperflux, freeing up some valuable USB ports, which is especially convenient with laptop setups.
Sure, its a proprietary solution, but if you are already locked into the Razer world of gaming peripherals and want a convenient solution to completely forget about charging your wireless mouse? Well, it does not get any better than this!
