It is in the beginning stages and as it advances it will change the lives and careers of over 1000 Directors of Nursing in Long Term Care.

My story

I have been a Director of Nursing for over 18 years . I am presently at the same facility for the last eight years.

In 2007 I got my first DON Nursing Job. I was completely clueless of how to be a leader how take charge of the nursing operations.

In 2015 I had my first bad survey , but I was able to learn from it and overcome and build my team.
In 2016 after building a team and me taking ownership of my leadership role we were deficiency free.

In 2022 I made a decision after obtaining my Masters degree to take my years of experience and knowledge help others DONs because no one helping the them.

I have witnessed and experienced the struggles and challenges of being the leader without mentorship.
In my journey of being a DON it has had great outcomes and bad results. But I overcame and prevailed.
