The night moved from a powerful fireside chat with the Artist Yola to a thoughtful venture conversation on inclusive growth, capital, and what it takes to build companies that last.
At GenAIx, a balance of creativity, operator insight, and community.matters to us every day as we’re building for a future where AI adoption is Human centered, inclusive, practical, and built to create a real measurable impact.
Building a company that aligns with your internal values is one of the best things you can do as a founder
Personally growing up in Ethiopia, I was always that kid in school who enjoyed explaining and simplifying school topics to my friends
& it was one of the most satisfying things I did back then that provided value , while doing something I liked
6 years later today in NYC through GenAIx we are helping employees and companies adapt to AI through software that tracks and improves ROI through personalized education
At the core I personally liked educating people, & it always felt like there was less power in theoretical education unless there’s a follow-on application to use that knowledge
& today that day has come where the majority of employees need an on-demand personalized actionable education on how to use the AI tools their companies have invested in
When your company's values and your values align it makes everything easier, makes the journey long-term sustainable and helps you attract the right amazing people that make the journey even better
AWS Summit NYC welcome event by Amazon Web Services (AWS) , TiDB, powered by PingCAP , and Arklex AI
The conversation moved beyond demos into what it actually takes to deploy AI agents at scale
Two ideas stood out: 1.AI agents need a unified data layer Siloed systems break performance
Agents require consistent memory, structured state, and real-time access without fragmented pipelines
2.Evaluation is the real bottleneck Building agents is becoming easier, but measuring reliability, performance, and ROI in production is still an unsolved challenge
The next phase of AI isn’t just better models It’s better infrastructure, better evaluation frameworks, and stronger alignment between humans and systems
This directly connects to what we’re building at GenAIx
Companies won’t see real ROI from AI just by deploying tools
It comes from how teams actually use them Upskilling, adoption, and measurable impact are what turn AI from a cost center into a growth driver
Enterprise AI is quickly shifting from experimentation to execution
The future of AI at scale = infrastructure + evaluation + human enablement

Raising a glass on the NYSE trading floor was one of those moments that felt surreal for the middle school version of me, the picture on the right
Who 10 years ago was in Ethiopia & was just getting curious about how companies & businesses work
The past 10 has been an exciting adventure across countries, companies, and schools.
Most of all the people I met and the stories are the highlights
At 25 now, it’s exciting to picture what the next 4-5 years has in store
Building GenAIx in NYC over the past 2 years has been one of the most crucial growing up moments of my life
The $350B corporate upskilling space is a space that needs urgent disruption for the sake of humans
& the team at GenAIx has been a collection of amazing diverse humans working on disrupting just that
To reaching out to higher meaningful goals!

NYC feels like exactly where you have to be if you're in the enterprise software space
SF is definitely great for the fundraising process but in NYC you are closer to your customers,
you are informally talking to your customers in events like a human, not customer discovery calls ,
actually trying understanding where they are right now
The presence of various industries and diverse events allows you to crosscheck and spot trends that are industry agnostic
Right now the energy in New York is electric!

Enterprise ROI on AI is becoming the main topic in justifying AI spend across companies
The AI trade from infrastructure and data centers to application companies are betting that companies can show a significant ROI by implementing AI
Getting the tools and infrastructure in place is one part of the equation
The second part becomes humans using the infrastructure and tools efficiently to justify and reach that significant ROI number
At GenAIx we're helping companies track and improve that ROI through personalized upskilling
Like any change, this change would require a full buy-in of the majority
Top-down mandates only ,won't drive significant change unless the people fully believe and align with the mission
Personalized empowerment and use cases for each employee are the first step in this change
