COSMIC MOXA combines traditional sounds stemming from Spanish gypsy, Nordic, Eastern European and Middle Eastern influences Cosmic Moxa is the dynamic duo of John maestro of the guitar , keys and killer fiddle, wild cello, born in Finland and coming from a familial musical background, and Nancy born in U.S.A. , awesome vocals and inspired piano, keys, synth, guitar. They met and formed COSMIC MOXA in 1970 .
When asked why the name? and Where did it come from?
They reply, back in 1970 we were reading a book on Kirillian Photography, and came across the word Moxa, which means healing with high frequency sound waves, and decided that the name fit their idea of spirit, music and positive life. Their music, songs and life reflect their devotion to always reach for the positive, spreading the affirmative message of love throughout their songs and music.
