Welcome to the Curmudge Inn. We are Sarah, Rob, Mishka and Zeus. We live remote and off grid on a small homestead and soon to be B&B/cabin rental Located 13 miles north of the frontier town of Talkeetna Alaska.
Our goal is to share our daily life with you all. We will show you the different things we have to deal with on a regular basis. Want the exp of being remote/off grid in Alaska? get in touch.
The only way to and from the Inn is either by jet boat on river or by taking an amazing ride on the world famous Alaska Railroad Hurricane Turn train. There are no roads or tails that lead to our location. The Hurricane Turn is one of only a few whistle/flag stop trains left in the world. Contact use for trains summer schedule. Winter guest times are limited as the train runs less.

Hello everyone. We will not have a video come out Friday. I have been under the weather since I went to town last week. I think I got some kind of bug. So seeing I am not up to sitting and editing for a few days Sarah and I will do a live stream around 3pm Friday. We hope to see you all in the stream. Hello Everyone. Hoep you are all having a great day. I wanted to let you all know that I have two videos dropping at midnight our time. One is a regular length video and the other is about 2 minutes. Please check them both out. Sarah and I maybe going live Friday around 3 or 4pm. Today, Sarah and I get to go on a adventure. I met one of our subs on the train on a trip home last week. (getting sink drain nut) see this weeks video. I found out he purchased one of the properties that was on our list to look at. Stairway to heaven is what the property is nicknamed. It is a bit north of us on the flagstop line. If he allows me I will do some filming.
