I just saw this vintage magazine image… and shopped my own closet.
Lately I’ve been looking to recreate vintage fashion illustrations using pieces I already own. Not exact replicas — just translating the silhouette, proportions, and overall mood into something wearable today.
This one is all about structured tailoring on top and relaxed, wide-leg ease below.
Have you checked out my video on these fabulous shoes from @saintsavoy8575 yet? These are fantastic vintage inspired shoes specially made with comfort in mind.
I’ve got a new video up talking about how my vintage style is shifting — slower, simpler, and very much on purpose. Fewer pieces, more outfit repeating, and choosing what actually works for my everyday life.
If you’re starting the year in comfy clothes you love (highly recommended), this one might be right up your alley.
I hope today brings you some calm and a bit of light in the middle of a very busy month.
I also want to let you know that I won’t have a video out this week. I’ve been having a harder time than usual with my mental health recently, and instead of pushing through and delivering something half-hearted, I’m giving myself a little space to regroup. I'm not looking for sympathy — I just want to be straightforward with you and not disappear without saying anything.
Thank you for your patience and for sticking with me. I’m hoping to have a great video for you next week.
Wishing you a peaceful Yule and a gentle end to the year. 💛
I just shared a new video all about how to wear a beret. Berets may look difficult, but they’re actually one of the easiest vintage accessories to style once you know the basics.
In the video, I walk through placement, how to keep it secure, different hair options, and the classic fabrics you’ll see in vintage-inspired berets.
If you wear berets, let me know your favorite way to style them! And if you’ve been nervous to try one, tell me what’s been holding you back — I’m curious.
Quick heads-up: I’ve re-uploaded my YouTube income update video.
When I originally posted it, something felt… off. The views were way lower than usual, I actually lost subscribers after posting (which hasn’t happened before with this kind of video), and I’ve had a few people message me saying they’ve noticed strange things happening with their own uploads too—comments disappearing, low reach, etc.
So, after sitting with it for a few days, I decided to take it down, tweak a few things, and try again. Hopefully this version finds the audience it was meant for. 🤞
If you missed it the first time (or just want to support the re-release), you can watch it on my channel now.
And any extra Hypes are always appreciated, that support means a lot.
Yikes! I don't think I've ever seen a negative subscriber count on a video before 🙈. I took a chance on putting this video out there as it's not in my usual niche. But with the success of my other video sharing how much I made on YouTube, with over 100,000 views and so many people asked for more updates, I thought this one might do ok. Live and learn I guess. Hopefully things will turn around once I get back to my usual content and I won't get dinged too badly.
I'm working on another video where I share my youTube stats and provide some "wisdom" about some of the things I've learned (sometimes the hard way) about creating content on YouTube. My last video on this topic was well received -- I got a lot of really great comments and questions and I'll cover some of those in this next video.
But if you have additional questions that you might like me to touch on, I want to hear them. Drop them in the comments below.
YouTube just added a new feature called the “Hype” button – and it’s a great way you can support my channel even more!
Here’s how it works:
- Under my videos, you’ll now see a little fire icon 🔥 that says “Hype.” It’s in the same section of the like button, but you may have to scroll across a bit to find it.
- It’s only available on mobile devices right now and may not be available to every user.
- You can hype videos up to 3 times per week to show YouTube you’re really enjoying it.
- Hype is currently only available on videos from smaller creators (like me!) and only during the first 7 days after a video is published.
- The more people who tap it, the more YouTube is likely to recommend my videos to new viewers.
It’s kind of like a supercharged “like” button – instead of just saying you enjoyed the video, it tells YouTube, “This deserves more attention!”
Watching, liking, commenting, and sharing still help a lot, but hitting Hype in that first week gives my videos an extra boost right when it matters most.
Thank you so much for supporting my channel and content – every click really makes a difference 💕

I took this photo yesterday while at a cafe here in Vienna. I think it looks so cool, almost like I'm in a painting on the wall.
