For those of you who don’t follow us on Facebook, we wanted to share an update about our beautiful Isla 🤍

After her big operation in November, she recovered so well. We even took a trip to Europe, and everything seemed okay for a while. But not long after, we started noticing lumps appearing one by one.

When we returned home, we took her back to the vets. Sadly, they told us there’s nothing more they can do, and she’s now on medication to keep her comfortable. It was absolutely heartbreaking to hear.

Despite everything, Isla is still doing so well. We care for her every day, dressing her lumps and making sure she’s as comfortable as possible. We don’t know how much time we have left with her, so we’re focusing on making every single day special—filled with love, happy moments, and memories we’ll treasure forever.

She lets us know when she’s tired, and we take everything at her pace. She’s our baby, and we will do anything for her.

Thank you so much to all our friends who check in daily, send messages, and share their love and support—it truly means the world to us 🤍🙏

We visited Ypres and stood beneath the Menin Gate to pay our respects.

The Menin Gate Memorial is one of the most powerful reminders of the sacrifices made during the First World War. Unveiled in 1927, it commemorates over 54,000 British and Commonwealth soldiers who died in the Ypres Salient and whose graves are unknown.

Every evening at 8pm, the Last Post ceremony is played under the gate — a tradition that has continued almost every single day since 1928, even through the hardships of the Second World War. It’s a deeply moving tribute, ensuring that those who fell are never forgotten.

Standing there, you can’t help but feel the weight of history and the importance of remembrance. 🌹
