Hey friends!

I'm looking forward to having folks out for the Foraging on the Farm Class on Saturday, July 12th from 11 am to around 2 pm. We'll take a stroll around our West Knox County farm, identifying various edible, medicinal and otherwise useful plants that are part of the landscape. Cost is $20 for everyone 11 years old and above. Well supervised younger children are fine, but please no dogs as we have livestock near where we'll be foraging. Cash or check the day of the class is acceptable.

If you're travelling west on Middlebrook, you'll need to pull a U-turn at Countryside Center Way. The next driveway on your right - marked 9530 - is your turn. At the keypad on your left, press any key then take the first left up the gravel driveway. There will be signage for Bluebird Hill / SRR classes indicating your turn.

Join us on our West Knox County farm Sunday, June 29th at 11am for a permaculture primer. I've set this class up as an introduction to the prime directive, ethics and principles of permaculture / regenerative agriculture to help people build a baseline understanding of how to read and work with their landscape and how to develop regenerative, ecologically supportive systems.

Approximately 3 hour class, split evenly between a slides/discussion portion and a property walk to see some examples of methods and principles in action. A larger class may run a bit longer to allow for Q&A.

If you've ever considered taking a full permaculture design certificate course, this instructional is intended to prime your mind and thinking patterns to really dig into these concepts.
The class is suitable for ages 11 and up, $60 per person

Grazing Sheep to Heal the Land

On farm class in West Knox County, Tennessee. Learn how we’ve been using sheep to heal marginal, long fallow lands. This mostly involves exploring the pasture, understanding the behaviors of sheep and demonstrating fencing techniques with Q&A and conversation.

Approximately 3 hours $40/person
