This is an oil painting, my great, great great aunt Julia painted back in the early 1900s. I’ve been told Springer spaniels look differently today and the picture can be dated by what the dogs look like in the painting. I’ve often wondered if these were her dogs. I can’t fit the whole painting in, but you get the idea.

I was picking up all those little tiny pieces of trash and I saw this and I picked it up with the other pieces of litter and was throwing it away and decided no, I cut it out. I’m going to use it and I walked over to my daily diary and glued in. It’s absolutely rescued and I’m very pleased with myself. Who else understands this little joy?
