✨❤️ 10th Muharram — marks the Day of Ashura, the Day Allah split the Red Sea and saved Musa (AS) from the Firaun.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
"Fast on the Day of Ashura, for indeed I anticipate that Allah will forgive the sins of the year before it." [Tirmidhi]
He ﷺ also said:
"If I remain alive till the next year,I shall certainly fast on the 9th day of Muharram." [ Muslim]
(To distinguish oneself from the Jews)
The Battle of Karbala which also took place on 10th Muharram is a battle of truth against falsehood, humanity against villainy, righteousness against evil and justice against corruption.Thus standing as an eternal witness to the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering faith of Hussain ibn Ali (RA) and his companions.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
~ ”Al-Hasan (RA) and Al-Hussain (RA) are the leaders of the youth of Paradise.” [Musnad Ahmad, Jami At-Tirmithi]
~ “Hussain (RA) is from me, and I am from Hussain(RA).Allah loves whosoever loves Hussain (RA).” [Jami At-Tirmidhi]
~ “He is not from our group who slaps his checks, tears his clothes, and cries in the manner of the people of Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic period).” [Sahih Bukhari]
