This is TVTA. I usually upload whatever interests me. You'll find quite a bit of content from my 16mm film prints and from some of the VHS tapes I've acquired over the years, as well as C/Ku-band satellite feeds and closing credits to various series'. If you like what you see, consider subscribing... or don't. It doesn't really matter. Thanks for stopping by.

A remake of this video from 2018 is coming soon. At the time, for the Viacom logos, I used transfers that were created with a B&H projector modified with a 1CCD camera and a 5-blade shutter. Some of the color corrections were badly off (on purpose), but this time, I’ll be using some of my most recent film transfers scanned in 5K at 24fps.

Greetings!
In a few short days, the calendar flips to 2025, and that means a new year of film purchases and Betacam additions. However, let me discuss the recent year of additions. First, 16mm prints. The last film to be added to the collection was in July 2024 and was an episode of “Branded” (S02 E05, “The Bar Sinister”). This episode is on LPP stock dated 1984; it does not have an intro, but does have KingWorld’s 1984 logo after the credits, so this is my first KingWorld print. In terms of overall additions, there have only been 13 this year, the lowest number of films added since 2020 (12 additions). I did, however, get a few films scanned this year. I hope for many more great additions and hope to have more films scanned in the coming year.
Onto Betacam additions. What a year this has been. I added (as of now) 176 tapes in 2024, bringing my total to 521 tapes. I was able to purchase a Sony J-H3, a unit that plays HDCAM tapes, in September. I can now transfer all Betacam formats except HDCAM SR. As for the tapes themselves, I’ve added lots of great content and hope the coming year brings even more great additions to the collection. (Still hoping to find Betacam tapes of program sourced from satellite feeds, especially from PBS.)
With that, this’ll wrap up 2024 for me. Hope everyone’s has a safe, healthy, and fun New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Take care.

I’m looking for a bit of help. If anybody is based in Australia, I’d like to get in touch. I’d like to acquire Classics’ (formerly Fox Classics) Viacom prints of “Hogan’s Heroes,” but since I’m in the U.S., I am unable to do so. If anyone can help me, that’d be great!

*Strangely, the 1982 CPT logo has the soundtrack for the 1974 CPT logo, which itself is recycled from the 1970 Screen Gems logo.
**This is an educational documentary.

After 2 years, I finally got this print scanned, and it looks great. This is the only print I have with PBS's 1984 ID, so it's definitely one of my prized prints. I remember the day I received this print in February 2022. While inspecting it, as I do with every new print, I later came across the logo. Being surprised is quite the understatement. This was a logo I never expected to own on a 16mm print; of course, I don't collect prints for logos, they're just an added bonus.
Hope you all enjoy the new scans. I'll try to have more scans coming in the next couple months.

Recent film additions for December 2023 (no additions in November):
•"Hawaii Five-0" ("Honor is an Unmarked Grave") [Eastman LPP, Viacom "V"]
•"Rawhide" ("The Meeting") [Agfa-Gevaert, Viacom "V"]
This was a slow year for film additions, only 15, the least I've added since 2020 (12). However, that doesn't mean 2023 wasn't a great year for film additions. This was the year I added -- not 1 -- but 2 B&W Viacom prints of "My Three Sons," prints I've been wanting to add to the collection since 2014. I also added 3 LPP prints of "Starsky and Hutch," a show I did not have in my collection before. I closed 2023 with an LPP print of "Hawaii Five-0" and a print of "Rawhide," my first print of the show since December 2017. Though I didn't add much, 2023 was a good year for the collection, the B&W Viacom prints of "My Three Sons" being the highlight. I'm looking forward to what's in store for the collection for 2024.
