I hired a singer to do the chorus
My editor did the visuals

I’ve trained in Voice Acting. Singing comes a bit more easily when you’ve had that training

Hey guys,

Thanks for joining my celebration stream for hitting 150,000 YouTube Subs 🎉 It felt great to start Metaphor: Refantazio too

However, I’ve had some complaints with how I’m streaming the game. I will address them here. Sorry for incoming TL:DR

1) Some people aren’t happy with the speed I’m progressing the game. They probably think I will say the game is “slow”, because I play at Streamer Pace
(Streamer Pace: It takes 2x longer to do anything on-stream, than it takes off-stream)

Don’t worry. I can tell the difference between a badly-paced game, and a game I am taking a long time to stream

I like talking with my Chat. That’s not going to change. This is also my first ATLUS game, so I’m taking it all in. There is some dialogue bloat, but I knew to expect that

2) Some people don’t like that I voice act every character

I know that sounds crazy, but that’s how I’ve wanted to stream Metaphor since I first heard about it. These Voice Acting Challenges are a main feature of my channel. They are one of my favorite things to do. You may not like it, but many people do. No other channel on the internet does this

This is not ruining my first experience for myself. I can pick good dialogue by how fun/natural it feels to VA (regardless of my Ad Libs, or what voice I give the Character). I’ve been doing this for 6 years on stream. I can tell. If I played with the voices on, I would enjoy streaming this game less

But since some people really want me to hear the game’s VA, we’ll start next stream by replaying major cutscenes with the voice acting on (both JP & English). Then I will continue the story from where I left off

I understand why some people are reacting this way: They think I’m going to unfairly rip this game apart, unless I experience it a certain way

That’s not what I’m here to do. I am streaming Metaphor because I am genuinely curious about it

My First Impressions so far:

a) I like the Soundtrack
I got stunlocked by 2 songs
I even thought Metaphor got robbed of Best OST at the VGAs (FF7 Rebirth won that award)

b) I like the World so far
It’s interesting & mysterious
I’m curious why Humans are naturally monsters (don’t spoil pls)
Everyone hating my character on sight is hilarious

c) I like the Characters so far
Strohl, Grius, Hulkenberg, Gallica, More - they’re all cool and fun
I look forward to Louis laying the smackdown on everyone

d) I like the Gameplay so far
It feels great to play some good old-fashioned Turn-Based JRPG Combat, in a modern game
I like learning ATLUS’s approach to this style

Sorry again for the TL:DR. But if this is going to be a common complaint after one stream, I may as well address it in writing here

If you are still truly unhappy with how I’m streaming Metaphor, you don’t have to watch. I’ll announce when I’m starting a different game
