Thanks to everyone who checked out the latest video going over the current state of Washburn! Del Breckenfeld, who's featured in the video, sent this picture of himself and Nuno Bettencourt at the Washburn booth from NAMM 2025 along with the following thoughts below
"When I saw Nuno last year at NAMM he was not only the lone excitement but really the single bright spot in the (Washburn) booth. People waited so long to meet him and he stayed to accommodate everyone. When he saw me he called me over and announced “This is the guy responsible for everything I do!” I knew it was tongue in cheek but Nuno is such a stand-up guy beyond his incredible music. (I had to then sign autographs and take photos with fans because, well I just knew Nuno)."
New video will be out later today or tomorrow going over the current state of Washburn Guitars. Video is currently up on the membership page, ad-free. Membership is only .99 a month and that gives you access to all of the public content, ad-free along with bonus content.
Dean Episode 3 Bonus content should also be up on the membership page later this week or next.
Currently working on two videos at once. Dean History Episode 4 (1997-2004) and a Pignose Amps History video. There may be a few more short videos like this one in between as well.
The latest video discusses the possible future of B.C. Rich and Dean Guitars. Are both companies due for a comeback? The video is also available on our membership page, ad-free, for only .99 a month. Hope you dig it.
As always thanks to those of you who've watched and even financially contributed to the channel in my brief two years on the platform. I doubt this will ever become a career for me, but I feel like I'm finally getting to scratch an itch that I've had to make videos like this for years. I realize subjecting viewers to a multi part history of Dean Guitars isn't really what YouTube wants to push right now, but I knew the audience, however small, was out there.
Still working on Dean Episode 4. As soon as I have decent rough edit, I'll add it to the membership section for those who want an early peak.
For the Dean Guitars history folks. If you remember back in Episode One there were excerpts from a couple of interviews with Terry Manning discussing the gear Billy Gibbons used on ZZ Top's Eliminator album. As many of you know, Terry passed away back in March and in tribute Blake Morgan wrote an article in remembrance of Terry in the Oct/Nov issue of TapeOp Magazine, which is linked below. The picture below is Blake playing the red "warped stratocaster shaped" guitar or a Dean Bel-Aire with body binding and a single DiMarzio Super Distortion pickup. I believe this is one of the few if not the only picture of this guitar in existence. As far as I know there are still no pictures in existence of the red baby ML that Billy also played on the record. tapeop.com/interviews/169/remembering-terry-mannin…
Dean Episode 4 is still in the works. Still scheduling and conducting interviews. Thankfully there are a lot of people in the Dean Guitars world who want to contribute to this series. If you worked at Dean Guitars from 1997-2004 and are interested in contributing please email me at chris@sapulpaguitaracademy.com
The bonus episode going deep into the Tropical Music era will be out in the next week or two. The delay is all on me. I made contact with a former employee of Paul Chandler's who helped build the small run of USA Deans produced before Tropical moved production to Cleveland and Hill Guitars. I would like to get his side of the story before releasing the bonus episode. Should be a fun episode for those of you who enjoy the deep dive content.
Thanks to everyone who checked the first video in a new series. What brand should we cover in the next video? Hamer, Parker, Travis Bean? Let me know down below. I may try and put another one out before Episode 4 of the Dean Guitars series
Next video will be the Dean History Deep Dive going over Episode 3 and will be uploaded to the members channel. https://youtu.be/99tsnqyCtKA

Sorry for the delay on new videos. Family stuff, work stuff, stuff stuff, etc. I'm always researching though. What should be my next topic?
Of course, don't forget about Dean Guitars History, Episode 4. Hopefully in March.
