Thanks to everyone who checked the first video in a new series. What brand should we cover in the next video? Hamer, Parker, Travis Bean? Let me know down below. I may try and put another one out before Episode 4 of the Dean Guitars series
Next video will be the Dean History Deep Dive going over Episode 3 and will be uploaded to the members channel. https://youtu.be/99tsnqyCtKA
We just hit 3k subs sometime over the holiday weekend! Thanks to all the new subscribers!
Here's what's in store for December and January.
The Story of Dean Guitars: Bonus Episode 1991-1997. (Membership Video) This will be a deep dive into the Tropical Music Years. I was also able to interview Tracy Hoeft (Dean Guitars President from 1992-1997) recently so I'll add clips from his interview on this bonus episode. This video should be out next week, if not this week. Membership is only .99 a month or just be on the lookout for the next post and I'll include a free link to the video.
G&L Guitars: A Brief History and Postmortem. This video will be out sometime in December. This will be more in the vein of my Guitar Center videos, not as produced as the Hamer or Dean series, FYI.
The Story of Dean Guitars: Episode 4 1997-2004 Currently scheduled for late January or early February.
A big thanks to everyone who checked out the latest Dean Guitars History video! The video brought a lot of new people to the channel so a big welcome to all the new subscribers.
The next video will be a discussion over the 2004 Hamer: Building an American Legend DVD. I thought this would make for an interesting discussion since the video is over 20 years old. If you haven't see the DVD yet, I've linked to a copy below. Discussion video will be out before Thanksgiving. It's currently in the editing stage.
For those of your looking for a Dean Guitars series update, the next video will be a bonus episode diving deep into the Tropical Music years that will go up on the new membership section (.99 a month to join). There was a lot of content I ended up cutting out and information that I wasn't able to cram in so if you didn't get your fill of Dean history with the last episode than be on the lookout. This should be out around late November, early December.
Dean Episode 4 will cover the years 1997 right up to Dime's passing in 2004. No idea on release date yet, but January 2026 would be a good bet.
As mentioned, the channel does have a membership section, which is .99 a month. The lowest amount YouTube will let me charge. This is a way to still make content that myself and a small portion of my channel enjoy, but may not appeal to a majority of subscribers. Having videos that don't preform well doesn't bother me, but it does affect how YouTube pushes videos that will have more broad appeal. I figured this would be a great way to segment them, but still keep all the content in one place. The plan is add new content to the membership section constantly as I have quite a backlog of stuff that hardcore fans of this channel would appreciate.
Coming soon! Can't wait to share the story of Dean Guitars in the 90s. One of the most misunderstood, misreported eras of Dean Guitars history. We will also be covering the story of Dimebag's Washburn endorsement and the history behind it. ETA is around Halloween.
Happy 59th to Desmond P. Child! The History of Dean: Episode 3 will cover a great deal of Dimebag's search for a guitar endorsement during the mid 90s. Stay tuned! #dimebag#deanguitars
The Bonus Episode is now up! This is a deeper dive into the years 1976-1991 and it's a long episode as I had quite a bit of content I wasn't able to squeeze into the first two episodes. Not as polished or produced as the regular episodes but for those looking for even more Dean history, I hope you enjoy. https://youtu.be/jR8cVbUvbEE
*The next video will be a deep dive into the history of Dean Guitars from 1976-1991. This will be discussing all the history, footage, and quotes I wasn't able to squeeze into the last two videos. This video should be out in a week or two.
*Episode 3 is still a couple of months out. The biggest issue is really just scheduling interviews between work and home life. Research is also taking longer as less about this era has been published than any other. As a result, I'm having to rely more on information uncovered during the interviews. If you were waiting for Dimebag to make an appearance in this series, this is the episode you've been waiting for. Currently expecting a release in September.
Again, once the history of Dean Guitars is fully explored, the plan is to cover B.C. Rich in a similar fashion. Thanks to everyone who's been watching.
