A year ago I boarded a flight to Japan with no real idea how much my life was about to change.
Japan was my first time there. Everything felt unfamiliar but in the best ways. That trip rolled into Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia. New cities. New routines.
Somewhere along the way I started doing things I’d always half-talked about. Karate. Muay Thai. Boxing. Training consistently instead of occasionally. Eating better instead of pretending I would tomorrow. I quit smoking. I cut alcohol down to once a fortnight, if that. I didn’t expect how much that alone would change things. The weight loss was obvious, but the bigger shift was mental. Clearer head. More confidence. Less money disappearing for no reason. Especially in places where drinking quietly drains your wallet without you noticing.
There were plans that didn’t happen. China was meant to be part of last year and it didn’t work out. That one’s coming later this year. Sometimes timing matters more than effort.
This channel has grown from around 1,000 subs to almost 4,000. For the first time I can feel momentum instead of just hoping for it.
This year stripped a lot away. Bad habits. Excuses. Comfort. What’s left feels more honest. Still figuring things out, but moving forward instead of standing still. Even though my life i'd always done what I wanted to, there was a brief moment a few years back where I thought money, or earning more money would bring me some sort of security or happiness, instead it did the opposite, and I realised Ive been happier now than in a long time and it came from following my dreams instead of selling out.
If you’ve been here for part of the journey, thanks. More to come.

Just dropped the most honest video I’ve made in a while.
Leaving Vietnam after 9 months.
Not a travel guide, just life stuff.

That feeling when your excited for a trip ,you start to pack weeks early... When I started this journey one year ago I came with ONE carry on backpack, which was meant to weigh 7KG (secretly I had about 12kg) which was stashed between bumbags, stuffed neck pillows and layers of clothes, now I have so much more, and I'm trying to get it all back down to a minimalist setup! Now i've got a guitar too!! As you can see I have some flights booked to Athens.... but is that my final destination?? Can you guess where I will be heading ??

Honest question:
What online business or side income has actually worked for you?
(Even if it’s small $50/month counts.)
And what didn’t work, even though everyone said it would?

Its 2026 and nothing in Australia has changed....

I think it’s kind of sad what YouTube / Social Media has turned into.
Everything is an algorithm now.
Hooks. Jump cuts. Fake urgency. “Wait till the end.”
All designed to grab someone’s attention for 3 seconds before they swipe to the next video.
When did we lose the ability to just… sit with something?
To listen. To follow a story. To feel a moment?
I don’t want to make flashy, quick-witted nonsense just to please an algorithm.
I want to make real content, real stories, real experiences and real thoughts.
If that grows slower, so be it.
I’d rather build something honest than chase attention I didn’t earn.

Can we please stop lying to people about “living like a king on $1,000/month in Thailand”?
Because in 2025… that’s pure fantasy.
Maybe 10 years ago? Sure.
I remember renting a nice hotel in Phuket for $400 AUD a month. Those days are gone.
I just spent 6 weeks in Thailand!! Trust me.
Now you’re looking at:
• $1,200+ AUD/month for a basic 3-star hotel
• $15–$20 AUD for burgers, pasta, pizza, anything Western
• Most Thai restaurants have gone upscale for tourists
• 100–150 baht minimum for a “local” meal
• 30–60 baht just for a Coke
• Beachside meals? 300–500 baht easy
On Koh Samui I found one rare spot with 70–100 baht meals.
In Bangkok I was still paying 100–150 baht for local food without a drink.
And let’s be real about Bangkok —
You’re not “living like a king”.
You’re sitting in traffic or crushed on train lines in a massive, chaotic city.
It’s exciting. It’s intense. It’s not paradise.
Yes! Thailand is still beautiful, Still amazing and still worth visiting.
But this “$1K a month king lifestyle” narrative?
That’s outdated influencer math.
If you actually want real value in Southeast Asia right now…
Vietnam is where that crown moved.

This graph might look like just subscriber growth, but for me it’s basically a timeline of my whole life falling apart and then slowly coming together again. That first little jump was the day I admitted to myself that Australia wasn’t making me happy anymore.
I didn’t say it out loud to anyone, but I knew something had to change. Then there’s the day I quit my job !! easily one of the scariest things I’ve ever done. No backup plan, no idea what came next ... well some idea!! my new movie!!! . A bit later is when I actually left the country for real, packed my life into a backpack and stepped on a plane with more fear than confidence.
But the real turning point wasn’t leaving Australia, it was when my mindset finally clicked into place. When I stopped treating this like a temporary escape and started treating it like my actual life. And that last little rise is the moment I genuinely went all in… when I stopped doubting myself and just worked, created, trained, filmed, and believed in myself!. Looking at this line now feels surreal. it’s every bad day, every risk, every tiny win, every moment I thought about giving up… somehow turning into something real.

Bit of a Muay Thai takeover lately , sorry if you’ve been waiting for the usual travel videos! Been training hard every day here in Thailand and documenting a lot behind the scenes. Got some cool stuff in the works that I’ll be releasing soon once I can breathe again 😅
Weather’s been on and off lately , a lot of rain!!! so I’ve been using the downtime to focus on training and storytelling. Once the sun’s back, I’ll get out filming more island tours and travel content again 🌴
