It’s hard to believe that it’s been 20 years since my first album “Crying Over Pros For No Reason”. This record changed my life. I remember making this record is my bedroom in South Central LA after graduating from USC. I was young, unemployed and a little directionless in life. Armed with zero production knowledge, this record was written purely from the heart reflecting the melancholy vibe of where I was at during that point in life. This was hands down my largest growth spurt ever as a musician and a producer. I truly had no idea what I was doing. This was during an era before YouTube tutorials and I fondly remember how fulfilling it was to be broke and free while exploring my creativity deep into uncharted territory. I want to thank every one of you that has ever sent a message or spoken to me in person about what this record means to you. I never once thought that my story, my feelings, and my emotions would resonate with so many people. It’s been a blessing to share my music with all of you throughout these years. Big thanks to Mike Paradinas (µ-Ziq of Planet Mu) for believing in the record and giving it its first home 20 years ago. It was and still is a high honor to be signed to one of the most prestigious and beloved experimental electronic labels of our generation. The 20th anniversary vinyl pressing of Crying over Pros for No Reason is limited to 500 copies and pressed on a beautiful splatter vinyl. Thanks for the love. I appreciate you all.
