This channel is to share my hobby with the world, educate people, and to interact with people who have an interest in automotive safety and crash test research.
This is a NON-PROFIT YouTube channel specializing in Automotive Safety Research.

Just a little reminder to support smaller channels.
I've been uploading crash test videos to YouTube since 2006, and for the last (almost) 20 years I've never monetized my videos. That reason is because I don't own the crash test footage, the testing organizations do. It wouldn't feel right to capitalize on media that I don't own, so I just don't. I'm here to provide this huge NHTSA database to the public in a easy-to-understand manner that provides the important information and sometimes even the backstory of certain test series. I'm not going anywhere, but AI and other large channels tend to make what I do go unnoticed. I do this purely as a hobby, I work a full-time job off of YouTube, so all of this is done for the pure joy of it. I enjoy interacting with other people who are interested in crash tests and automotive safety and do my best to provide accurate information to those who seek answers. I've found it difficult to want to keep doing what I'm doing sometimes, with daily views the lowest they've been since I started, but it's the community and the love of the interest that keeps me going.
So thank you for all the folks out there, new and old, who watch and support this channel. I couldn't do it without you!

The NHTSA NCAP ratings page has been updated, but anything older than 2018 is no longer available. They also no longer have the separate star rating for the pole impact, only the "Combined Side Impact Rating". Not sure who greenlit this idea, but people are still buying older cars.

Thanks to all the people who joined my Discord server, it's been really nice meeting and chatting with people in the crash test community!
