I had never actually beaten Minecraft properly until now. This is the first time I actually tried to kill the Ender Dragon legit. I still suck at the game, but at least now I can say I beat the game. See you soon!

Taking a short break for a bit to sort out some long-term projects. Will be back hopefully sooner than later.

Forgot to record something for this weekend. I'll see what I can do.

The plan for today's video is going to be different than usual - I'm going to try and host a golf event with some friends. Should this go as planned, it'll hopefully be livestreamed. If not, then it'll be recorded and uploaded on Sunday... hopefully. Wish me luck as I haven't done any of this since like 2020.

It's been a bit, but I haven't forgotten about the channel. I was able to get back home a few days ago and have spent most of the time working on other projects of mine. These past few weekends I've had other things to do which had a much higher priority than uploading gameplay footage.

I'll be able to get some footage uploaded for this weekend, but yeah.

Straight up - there will not be a video this weekend. Since Monday, I've been in another state on an immediate, abrupt basis so I had actually genuinely no time to prepare anything ahead of time. There was simply not enough time. The video I was working on at the time of being metaphorically yanked into another state was going to be an extension of a song I liked.

That project is currently on hold until I can either get home for long enough to finish getting the clips together and rendering the whole thing. I would imagine that it's about 75-80% complete, give or take. I do not have an estimate for when my next video will come out. I have more pressing matters to attend to, I'm afraid.

I am seeking your feedback for an idea I had for a part of a playthrough of a specific game.

As I mentioned, I recorded myself playing through the entirety The Simpsons: Hit and Run during my family trip. While most of the gameplay is pretty normal, there is a point in which I had to grind the game currency massively by blowing up vehicles for like an hour or two. Because I know that watching me doing the same repetitive stuff for nearly an hour would be really boring, I thought I might experiment with making these grind sections interesting - doing a sort of compilation/edit with the game by putting some music behind it all and syncing it up somehow.

The benefits of this approach is that it would make the grind sections interesting enough to watch (since the music is honestly the best part), it would show that I didn't in fact use cheats to get through the grind sections (only exploits previously shown off on this channel), and it would sharpen my editing skills which have been dulled for a very long time. The downsides to this approach is that it would take a long while to do this since it would require a lot of editing (meaning it'll take probably weeks if not months to complete before it can even be uploaded) and it may be all for nothing. I don't know yet, which is why I'm asking for your opinion.

I've created what are effectively proofs of concept for how the idea would go. It's obviously going to be better polished should I go through with it. I also have another proof of concept for a section of the song that I'll link separately due to limitations with how YouTube creator posts work, so here you go - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eW9Y8...

Should I move forward with this idea or should I just scrap it altogether and just upload the lengthy grind sections? If you have any other ideas for how I could approach it, please let me know in the comments. Thank you.

I figured I might as well explain in better detail what was going on because there has been a notable shift in what kind of games I was recording and uploading to this channel. Don't worry, the Minecraft content is sticking around.

Starting in late January, I had an abrupt family trip to attend to in which I would effectively be stuck without my usual setup in a rather unfamiliar area for an effectively indefinite amount of time. I was expecting to be there for maybe a week or two at most, so I did prepare a queue of 2 videos to upload in the meantime. That wasn't the case, so I was suddenly in a position where I ran out of the queue, did not have access to any of the recordings that I could have used, and needed to make do with the equipment I had on hand.

The Wii, VCR, and DVD recorder did a great job carrying the gameplay side of the trip and now I have a massive stockpile of gameplay footage for various Nintendo games and software including:
* Super Mario 64 (from new save to 120 stars)
* The Simpsons: Hit and Run (from new save to 100% completion)
* SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom (from new save to 100 golden spatulas)
* Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life (from A New Beginning to Happy Birthday)
* Chibi-Robo (from what the save file was like in 2019 to 99% completion, I still have yet to finish that god damn Space Scrambler minigame)
* Windows NT Workstation

Anyways, I just got back from that trip and while I'm not entirely out of the woods yet (I might have to go back, but I don't know yet), I at least have the opportunity now to transfer Minecraft-related save data over so that if and when something like this happens again, I'll be better prepared.

Appreciate the patience.
