Last Sunday I visited Vegas mall in Delhi, while we were there I came across something that caught my attention. In the public washroom, I noticed a padcare dustbin. I immediately recalled seeing this innovation on shark tank India where the founder Ajinkya Dhariya explained the serious pollution problem caused by improper disposal of sanitary pads and how ragpickers are often forced to separate them by hand. To address this issue he developed a safe disposal system.
We should take inspiration from this and begin change at home by never mixing sanitary pads and diapers with regular waste. It's a small,but a big step towards social dignity and hygiene.
Real change doesn't always come with noise. Sometimes it's just a quiet bin in a corner. Let's do our part. #sustainability #delhidiaries #mindfulliving #menstrualhygiene #padcare #segregation #solidwastemanagement
