Hi there Homespun Friends!
Thanks to all of you who have expressed interest in my sweet mother’s Vegetable Casserole Recipe.
*Mix all ingredients in first section together in a bowl and pour into baking dish. (I like to use an 8x11 or 9x9 dish….but recipe can easily be doubled and will fit nicely in a 9x13)
*Then combine all the ingredients for the topping in a separate bowl and sprinkle on top of casserole.
*Bake uncovered for about 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
*If casserole starts browning too much, you can cover with foil.
**This is a casserole you can put together the night before you need it and refrigerate. The next day, remove from fridge, add the topping and bake.

With our words we can encourage...or discourage. We can speak life...or we can wound. We can build up...or tear down.
Throughout the month of August we'll spend a few quiet moments each day writing a passage about how we use our words.
I pray that by God's grace, these verses will lead us to become more like Jesus.

Do any of you remember these days?
Here I am on Resurrection Sunday, 1967. I believe this photo was taken at my maternal grandmother's house. As I mentioned in the video, each Easter we had all new things to wear, which was a tradition that alluded to Jesus' death and resurrection bringing new life to all mankind.
I love the cute white gloves and wish they would come back into style!
And of course, every lady (even little ones) wore corsages for special times.
