Hey guys! I’d love to hear your thoughts on something if you have a moment.

This channel primarily consists of long form content, and I’m considering starting to chop up individual OmeTV interactions from recent videos to upload them as Shorts fairly often (3x a week). They’d be preview clips linking back to the long form video. Do you like when channels you’re subscribed to upload repackaged long form content as Shorts, or does it annoy you? I’d really like to take advantage of the Shorts algorithm and reach new people, but I don’t want to turn off existing subs with excessive Shorts notifications of content they’ve already likely seen.

YouTube has a checkbox for “Notify Subscribers” when uploading Shorts, so another possibility is to uncheck that so the Shorts can be uploaded and reach new people without spamming subs who are only interested in long form videos. The downside of that is the views would be abysmal since nobody is notified, and therefore not as likely to be pushed in the algorithm to new people.
