it’s an extremely impressive start and it reminds me of so many of my favorite directors' early short films before they made their first feature (especially if you are a fan of avant garde japanese stuff), which is saying something because, honestly, i think they probably had a bit of a budget/resources and this is all coming out of jalen’s pocket.
anyways, like i said, give this a watch and let yourself be immersed in it, which shouldn’t be hard to do. the progress i’ve seen in everything jalen has done over the years is undeniable and i’m very proud of him. yall gotta give him his flowers seriously. excited to see what comes next after this.
