কিছু বুঝে ওঠার আগেই ঝরে গেল কতগুলো নিষ্পাপ প্রাণ—
তারা আর কোনোদিন ফিরবে না
না মা-বাবার কাছে, না ভাই-বোনের কাছে, না সন্তানের কিংবা প্রিয় স্বজনদের কাছে।

এই মর্মান্তিক দৃশ্য প্রতিবার শুনলে, চোখ অশ্রুসজল হয়ে ওঠে।
আল্লাহই ভালো জানেন, আর কত প্রাণ এভাবে হারিয়ে যাবে!
আমাদের স্বপ্নগুলো যেন আকাশে উড়ার আগেই ডানা ভেঙে মাটিতে দুমড়ে পড়ে যায়।

যারা হারিয়েছেন তাদের সন্তানকে, ভাইকে, বোনকে, স্বামীকে, প্রিয়জনকে—
হে আল্লাহ!
তুমি তাদের এই অসহনীয় শোক থেকে উঠার তৌফিক দাও।
তুমি তাদের ধৈর্য দান করো।
তাদের চোখের পানি তুমি কেবল তোমার রহমতে শুকিয়ে দাও।
