There are so many talented Bonsai artists in various aspects of the hobby, Patrick is one that has mastered the craft of wood display stands. His pieces are shipped all over the world. What a treat to live right next to him 😊.
Daiza, is a hand-carved wooden stand designed to fit and display a suiseki, a Japanese viewing stone, by providing a stable and complementary base for it. In bonsai, the term "diaza" is sometimes mistakenly used in reference to the pot a bonsai is housed in, which serves a similar function of complementing the artwork, but a diaza specifically refers to a stand for a suiseki, not a bonsai tree itself.
