I’ve heard many family members, coworkers and subordinates over the years express their desires to move to a new location or change employers because they were experiencing problems, dissatisfaction, or things simply weren’t working out they way they expected them to. So they wanted to relocate and pursue a fresh start.
I’ve also seen many of those moves fail. Nothing wrong with failure, but in many of those moves, I’ve noticed the same problem. The location changed, the job changed but the mindset remained the same.
I share this as a reminder for anyone thinking of making a decisive move in life. You can change employers…you can change careers…you can move to a new location all you want. We all need healthy environments. However, relocating won’t change your circumstances if nothing changes IN you!
