Yes, I’m still going on about this, because apparently this is just another Tuesday at this point. Some people saved themselves by saying “kinda” in their comparisons, but that still didn’t make it any less irritating.

Fun fact: The majority of “Burnt Luigi is like IHY” believers clearly never sat down and actually read the story. If you did, you’d know that Burnt Luigi’s story is completely separate. It’s not a sequel, not a retelling, not a “reinterpretation”—it is its own thing.

And if you only watched a reading and decided it was like IHY, then you clearly didn’t watch the entire thing. I really want this comparison to stop. Burnt Luigi was created with serious intentions. The only similarity is that both stories feature a burnt-looking Luigi. That’s it. Saying “I Hate You” and Burnt Luigi are the same is lazy, dismissive, and honestly disrespectful.

Now before someone jumps in with, “Well actually he says ‘I HATE YOU’ in one post—checkmate!” — yes, he does. It’s a reference, not a plot connection. Burnt Luigi says random, unhinged things—that’s literally part of his character. He’s a nonsensical digital monster who says weird stuff like “skin is bone.” That doesn’t suddenly tie him to IHY.

No hate to Slimebeast or I Hate You—I actually love his work and that story—but the comparisons are ridiculous. If you’re going to talk about Burnt Luigi, at least read the story first. Yeah, it’s long—but if you’re going to run your mouth, at least know what you’re talking about.

Even if we’ve just had an argument and are avoiding eye contact, tough luck—you still owe me that attention.
