We will have a PUBLIC beta test for a LARGE SCALE VANILLA server on June 11th at 12:00 PM EST.
Vanilla means that there will be no server-sided mods, but you are welcome to join with client side mods. We will have some basic plugins though, including a new version of the town system we had in S7. This means that you will be able to create towns and invite people and have that tag show up next to your username in chat.
To be clear, public beta test means that ANYONE can join and this will be a temporary test. The main goal of this test is to see where the limit is for # of players that can be online as well as how looting chests is handled with that many players. I want people to go out and explore and loot every chest that you can find to see where the cracks are, if any.
The test will run for several days, up to a week, and then if it goes well I will open a long term large scale vanilla server for S8 at no additional cost to you. It will simply be another server that you can play on in addition to the current industrial one, with the idea being that this server is for people who want a simpler vanilla world but still want to experience the FlowSMP.
I have made a specific version of BA+ for client side only which you can find at the bottom of this message or on Modrinth.
I want as many people as possible to join this beta test. Tell your grandma. Tell your dog. Tell your mailman. Tell them to JOIN THE FLOWSMP ON JUNE 11TH. I will start the cap at 150 people that can join so it will be first come first server. If it seems like the server can handle more I may increase it.
The IP will be flowsmp.com as always, but don't bother joining until then because it's not up right now.
